But few minutes after, i close my eyes and nothing happened... hmmm... no ghost or anything weird happens ahahah

Yes. I am afraid in the dark by myself. I am not that afraid if I am with someone I trust though. I hate to go outside in the dark if I am the only one out there because I am afraid that someone is out there and they are up to no good and they may abduct me or kill me.

I am so afraid of the dark when I'm in it alone. I'm afraid of sleeping alone (one of the reasons I wanted to get married so quick, lol). Often when I'm go to bed I can't sleep because my head always thinks of frightening images that make my heart pound so fast. but at the same time I'm desperately trying to close my eyes and sleep so it all goes away. I'm such a baby... :)

Only if I'm in a strange place and there are strange sounds around me. I have no problem sleeping in my own bed at night. Don't let your imagination get the best of you and you'll be fine at night.

i'm not really afraid of dark... but that depends on the situation... i usually have no problem sleeping in the dark and switching off the lights... in fact, i prefer to sleep in dark and i can't sleep when there is light...

Hi manya_pearl,
You say you are like a little girl, afraid in the dark - that's because you ARE a little girl (or at least as cute as one).
I DO get a bit nervous with the lights out after watching any of those Japanese horror movies - the ones with the psycho ghost who always seems to appear with streams of thick black hair coming out of the wall or ceiling or something...
Probably because they're coming uncomfortably close to the truth about ghosts and such... IMO they are certainly scarier than any of their Western counterparts.
BUT here's the thing - there's a good reason for being afraid of the dark.
One might suggest that we're afraid of the dark because of what we can't see, but that's not true.
There's a whole unseen world all around us, all the time, which we're unable to perceive due to our immersion in the distractions of the material world. In normal daylight, we're blind to the supernatural world.
But with the lights out, in total darkness, that's when we're able to sense more of what's REALLY around us. That's when we can see the things that we'd really rather not admit.
Yes, we're afraid of the dark, but it's because of the things we CAN see in the dark, rather than the things we can't see.

Not at home. But in a far away distant jungle where I would be stuck alone, I might be scared.

I have always been afraid of the dark. I usually sleep with a light on. I even bought me a night light. I think it stems to being a little girl and my brother used to tease me about monsters and ghost in my room. I feel like a baby but cant help being scared lol

I sometimes am if I am in the house on my own especially after watching a crime programme or something as I always think about the murder and how it happens. It disturbs me slightly. Although I try and think about something else, because Ive just watched it it is fresh in my mind. I have to put on music to help me soothe myself to sleep!
I dont believe in ghosts so they dont bother me.

I'm afraid in the dark but it depends on my surroundings if I really become paranoid or if I can tolerate it. I think it's mainly because I can't see well so I don't know what's going on around me. If I'm outside at night and the street lights make it bright out, I'm good; If some of the lights are out, I start to worry and noises start like footsteps, rustling trash or I think I saw something move. Movies can also get me like that. I admit I have a night light because of it, lol.

It would depend where i am. If i am at home then there is no reason for me to be afraid in the dark even if i am alone at home unless i have had a bad dream or watched some really dreadful movie. If i am out then there is surely some reason that i would be having some fear as i wont feel secure in the dark especially if i am alone.
