Perhaps may be due to his health condition of overweight and heart disease. Due to this he becomes health concious and switch to vegetarian. What do you say for this...

There may be numerous reasons and causes why a person changes from non vegetarian to a vegetarian. It may be because of #Health reasons, #Personal reasons{like may be whom they like, dont like non veg} #Or they may have thought it cruel to kill another living thing #Or may be due to fear{like SARS} Cheers ! Have a nice day

oh I am really sorry.I must have misread the question. Dont try to become vegetarian from non vegetarian over night.Try to decrease eating meat ,to atleast to once or twice a month. Then try to change ,by eating eggs{the so called vegetarian eggs or unfertlized eggs} instead of meat.In this way I think you can become from a non veggie to veggie. Also try not to be around,if some one near by is eating non veg. Cheers ! All the best for you to become a vegetarian.

I think that the easiest way to become a vegetarian is to start small. Start with some of those meat replacements from Morningstar and Baco and go with out meat at least one day a week and when you find the meat replacement that you like start going meatless 2 days and so forth. going vegetarian isn't about just giving up meat. Don't be fooled into thinking that having the refined food with out meat is the way to go. Start eating more fruits, vegetables and grains too

Thank you so much deebomb, I have been considering this, but did not know how I should approach it.

Morningstar and Baco both have great meat replacer. Here are some good sites that also give nutrition information. http://www.sanitarium.com.au/ http://www.vibrantlife.com/ http://www.sdahealth.org/joomla/

It should not be as hard as it would be to become meat eater from being vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian and the thought of eating blood filled meat will make me sick in the stomach. take it like smoking and quit meat. You will probably have cravings I am sure. Look for meat tasting substitutes also.

I went both ways, I was a vegetarian for about 2 years.. i just decided after seeing my bf at the time eat chicken wings like a barbarian that i no longer wanted to eat something that had a face. Then my mom bugged me and bugged me to start eating meat again.. and eventually i gave in and did.

I just simply stopped eating most meat and animal products. I did it for health reasons. I eat about 90% or so of fresh fruits and veggies, beans, whole grains, etc. I do still eat cheese. I do still eat meat on occasion. I do not consider myself a vegetarian, necessarily, I just eat a diet that is predominately plant-based. The hardest part is the mindset.

Watching a programme on the television can upset them I suppose and thier mind concentrates on the suffering that animals have to go through to get that piece of steak onto thier dinner plate.
