"Women shop more than men but men spend more than women." Do you agree on this? Well I really thought that us women spend more money than men because by nature women loves to shop that is my opinion only by the way. So kindly share what you think?

I agree completely with this - I think the majority (not all, but most) of men HATE to shop, but their "toys" are soooooo expensive. I want a pair of shoes - my hubby wants a plasma TV - which cost more? It's like that all the time, I do buy more things, but he more than makes up for the lack of quantity with the cost of what he buys.

I think its partly true. but men often run after money to make the life more comfortable. actually in today's world, it would be better to earn more. but that should not ruin the relationship.

I think men spend more in general due to more men being in positions of power. For the average person however I would think women do even though men spend more on each item. that's what I would think, also men spend a lot on women :P. at least the ones I know.

No i dont think so that men spend more than hwt we do. Atleast this is not true when it comes to my family. I spend much more than my husband. Infact he hardly spends on himself. All is for me. He just handsover all his earnings to me keeping a very penny amount with him. If he ever does go shopping he is buying something for me rather than himself.

Men spend more money on things b/c they don't take time to look at all choices and pick the best one. Perfect example: a friend of mine sent her b/f to walmart to get an 8x10 picture frame...simple right? He came back with a $30.00 frame!! This thing had to be lined in gold somewhere for that price...so she sent him back and told him to exchange it for one of the ones that is like $5.00. He came back with a $6.00 11x13 frame. Back to the store again. This time he calls and swears he can't find it that their all out. He comes back, they go up together and she comes back with a $5.00 8x10 frame...it was sitting one shelf down from where he was looking. Most women put alot of thought into their purchases b/c they know the more they save on one thing the more they have to spend. Men grab the first thing they see b/c they want to get done and go do what they want to do. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I agree. I see women always shopping but they buy small things - makeup, perfume, jewelery, cloths, so they spend less. Men, on the other hand, shopping less frequent. But, when men shopping he bought house, car, boat so he end up spend more than women. Do you think so?

I like to shop but I don't really buy all that much. I usually talk myself out of buying things because I think I really can't afford it and I really don't need it, maybe it will go on sale. My hubby on the other hand is an impulse shopper and spends far more than me in a shorter amount of time. So I think that statement is pretty true.

My husband does spend way more than me! He buys major things and doesn't worry about cost and I buy small things and I am always trying to find a deal. I buy all the household things like soap and laundry detergent and stuff like that but I wouldn't count that because it is for the both of us.

I think men spend more money. I agree with you in that women tend to shop more but I think men buy bigger ticket items. My husband is a great example, he hardly ever shops but when he does, he really does! I love to shop but I'm quite the bargain shopper. My husband is a very much "you get what you pay for" kinda person and usually will only purchase the best of whatever it is that he is buying where as I will look for the best deal.

I think maybe this maybe true because men in general might like more expensive things. Women tend to like to shop, but they are sitll pretty frugal. Plus they like shoes... bags.. makeup.. clothes. Maybe $300 to satisfy clothes for a long while? But gadgets for guys? Well, laptops can be $thousands, and there are phones, wii's and other technologies! Also, as for things such as mens clothes/accessories, they tend to be more expensive then womens too . People buying them want to be very sure they're "masculin" so people don't get the wrong idea about them wearing jewelery due to stereotypes =]

Most men I would say, when I was married and my husband and I would go shopping, he would sometimes look at the prices other times he would forget prices and just say hon.; let's get it if we need it. Men on the whole they would go shopping and would bring home the most expensive things. Most men dont count cost.
