What pets do you own, if none, why not?

Well I have way to many pets just because I don't have a lot of money. But I will do anything to keep them all. I have 8 cats, 2 dogs, 3 goats, and 2 miniature donkeys. I know that donkeys and goats don't seem like pets, but they are just as much as my cats and dogs are pets. I am very lucky to have five acres where they can all roam. But they are all my best friends. I don't have any favorites since they are all my good friends.

At the moment, we have three chinchillas and a tropical fish tank :) I've had hamsters in the past (we've had.. 8/9 I think) but it got to the point where we'd be replacing one a year (most of the time we had two hamsters, and one was usually a year older than the other) and it just got depressing. I really want a ferret, or rats, but I can't have them in my student house, and there's no point me getting pets at home when I don't live at home most of the year.

My husband and I have two cats, and their names are Shakti, and Mysti. We have always lived cats. We are also looking after his ex-wife's dog, Pebbles. Pebbles is a good dog, but we are not really dog people, so we hope she will come and pick the dog up as son as possible.

in my home i have 2 parrots but today im so sad the one is past away with out any reason, i have also one dog, if god will to give me a big home i will put more dogs, & birds, love them a lot even my hubby.

I have parrots, fishes, and rabbits right now. Before I used to have dogs as my pets. I think it is cute to have pets. Pets also helps us busy in our life. I have read somewhere that pets will help a person to be happy and will decrease depression. I think all should have pets and should take care of them. Most times our pets love us more than we think.

We dont have any pets. I would like to have a kitten, but my hubby ONLY wants a siamese kitty, and well we can't afford that right now lol, and also because we dont have the room, maybe someday when we have either a bigger place or we buy our own house we will be able to get a kitten. I dont want my kids to grow up without a interactive pet.

Wow, you have a lot of pets!! I have 2 beagle dogs,and sometimes i find it's a lot to take care of! Well, i do have my 3 months old baby as well, that's why it's hard to take care of everyone! LOL

At present I have 3 chihuahuas. I have always had pets as my life would be empty without them. To date I have had 16 dogs, from large dogs, doberman pinschers and Irish setters down to small ones, 7 cats, 4 birds, 2 hamsters and 2 white mice with many babies.

Apart from Bugs the bunny that keeps coming into our yard, and those sparrows who think they own the house, and that feral cat that comes around, we do not have any pets. The reason is that we had Jessie our dog for twenty years, and she was so cute and loveable, that she spoiled it for the rest of us. So no other dog or cat could compare. Then there was the cost factor, we did get her free, and only at the end, did we have to pay for any vet bills, but we could not take a trip outside of Canada. She had her shots but we could not afford to keep up with them, then there was the sneaking her into the motels when we drove to Alberta and British columbia. And we do not like kennels.

I love pets but now i dont want to have one coz it is hard to maintain. And to expensive i rather buy milk for the kids than buying a sack of dog food for chow..

I own a Shitsu puppy, her name is Chestnut! I call her Nutty at times! She's lovable! I don't think I would want another pet other than her.

I have 3 dogs, 8 cats and lots of fishs... One of our fish is a flower horn... I want to have a rabbits...

I have a mini zoo. I have about 20+ baby guppies, a beta, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a baby sugar glider. Used to have more but they i have alot. I want lots more too! :)

When I was living with my sister, we do have two dogs. When I moved out her place I took none because pets are not allowed in my new place. So I used to visit them every now and then. When I moved another place again, my sister moves out of town and had to deliver our pets to my parent's house because my second place has still pets-are-still-not-allowed rules. I love those pets and wanted to keep them but too bad I can't. I wanted to buy my own but not now. I need a place where I can keep them.

I have a dog. He is 8 years old. He is my good friend. I wanted to have one more doggy. But it requires a lot of care. And I have only limited time. Pets are always very nice. I wonder who here has an extraordinary pet?

I owned 4 cats in the past when I was still living in my parents' house. They were all so cute and friendly and I used to hug them and play with them a lot. But then I discovered I caught that toxoplasma virus that you usually get from cats that causes defects to a fetus so I rarely go near them again. I miss playing with them though.

I have a shitzu and a bichon/shitzu(her pup) 3 cats, 1 designer dragon lizard, 1 monk parrot, 2 gold fish, 1 hedgehog, 2 teddybear hamsters. We had a golden lab, but I had him put down last month, he was really old and having hip problems and he was goin blind. I love them all but they get to be a lot of work some days. I would love to have a mastiff, but I hear as they get older their hips go and having just experienced watching that happen with our lab, I don't want to go through that again.

I have two cats and they are my best friends.I use to play with them.Whenever i feel sad i spend time with them to cheer up.Pet animals are good friends they wont betray like humans.They are always loyal and lovable to their masters.So it is good to have pets.
