Okay, I admit I didn't watch the whole thing (I missed most of it because I was watching Girlicious on the CW).
I agree with others who DID watch it, the show was an amirable one for a worthy cause. I'm sure all the stars who sang were amazing and the video they shot in the 3rd world countries were sad, but here's where I had the problem with this episode.
They did all the things mentioned above. The remaining contestants even sang some Christian song with a choir and everything. But, I think the appearance by Ben Stiller at the end ruined the moment totally. I mean, after all that heartfelt stuff that was poured into the 2 1/2 hours, Ben Stiller came up at the very end and dropped the "F bomb" several times. I mean, what was that all about? There were children watching the show and they let Ben use the F word (bleeped out of course)? To me, that makes the show lose it's credential. What do you all think about it?

I did think that was totally out of place but but I do not think that the show really lost it's credentiality because of Ben's Stiller bad taste in choice of humor(?). It was great show and I did go online and make a small donation.

Aww, that was really cool of you to donate something. I know every little bit helps. I don't have any money to donate, but I do go onto that freerice.com (or is it .org?) website to donate some rice by playing the word game they have. I have only done that once so far, so I need to get my rear in gear and make it a regular habit lol.

I thought the exact same thing!! I found the idea behind his tirade mildly amusing at best...but the execution of it did totally and completely ruin the entire 'warm fuzzy' feeling.

Yeah, the only reason I didn't enjoy the part with Ben Stiller was the F word being used so many times. If he hadn't said that word, the little skit would've been funny. Did they film the special at a different theater than the one they use for the regular episodes?

Yes, I believe part of the special was at the theater their finale will be taped at (used to be the big Kodiak I forget where it is this year) and part was at their current filming theater.

I agree, his appearance ruined the moment. They should not have done that.

Yeah, too bad they didn't get him to do something else. Almost anything else lol. I mostly had a problem with the whole F word, especially with little kids watching at home. Yeah, they bleeped it out, but I wonder how many of them figured out what word he was using?
