How important is it for your child to play a sport? I think it's important as it helps them to improve their motor skills alot quicker and faster than the children who aren't playing a sport.

Not everyone is into sport, but as long as they get some exercise one way or the other, that's all that matters i suppose.

I agree. I think getting children involved in sports will also help them avoid diseases associated with sedentary life-styles like diabetes. I love to see my kids running around playing soccer in the fresh air on Saturdays instead of staying cooped up inside the house.

I try to get my daughter to run around etc aswell. Don't really like her sitting in front of the tv all the time

I think its important, In my belief a child does much better at school when hes in a school sport due to eligibility.

I think they are important as long as the kid likes it. I have a daughter who is very athletic and is the best catcher in her softball league. She could play any position and be awesome at it. She just started playing soccer this year (first time ever) and everyone thinks she has been playing all her life. I have no idea where she gets her ability from as both her dad and me can't play anything!

i agree. It doesn't matter how many sports they go through, as long as they find the right one that suits them in the end, thats all that matters.
