Now I love our ugly cat. He is one tough cat. He is only ugly because he has gotten hurt so many times. He fought off a horned owl who dropped him from what must have been really high so he broke his pelvis in multiple places according to the vet. When the cat started walking again he walked with his back hunched kind of like those black cat pictures you see of them hissing. Then not so long ago the vet thinks someone took a bat to him because his face was all messed up and now he is blind in one eye and the non working eye changes colors so it is really ugly. Well yesterday he came home limping. Can't put weight on his front paw. So here he is hunched, blind and limping. He wasn't even outside more then 30 minutes and we didn't hear anything. I swear this cat attracks trouble. Yet he is the sweetest cat. Ugly but sweet. Poor thing I hope he recovers from this one. He can't use his back legs to climb as it is which means he will only have one good paw. Poor Buddy thoughest cat there is.

oh man! sounds like your poor cat has a built in homing beacon for trouble!
surviving being attacked by a horned owl is pretty amazing, hearing that some horrible person took a bat to him is just heartbreaking! its just incomprehensible to me why ppl do things like that to animals.
maybe its time to try to convert him to an indoor kitty only!
he certainly sounds like a front runner for the toughest cat award thats for sure!

To everyone suggesting to keep him inside it is not an option. He has the loudest cry and wants to go out everyday. We were able to keep him inside when he was injured each time but he just can not stand not to see what is going on outside. My other cat stays in all the time and just looks at him like why on earth do you want to go out there the food is in here. We thought he might stop crying if we just ignored him but after an hour we couldn't stand it anymore. It is so loud we can hear him from upstairs with the door downstairs and on the other end of the house. It is a really really loud cry. I would think that he wouldn't want to go out as much as he has been hurt but never fails when the sun is up he is at the door and crying to go out.

Please, please, PLEASE keep Buddy inside from now on!I know there is nothing you can do to stop the current/previous injuries, but don't let him out to get injured again.
I had an ugly cat, but sounds like Hobo was a beautiful boy compaired to yours. but all his injuries predated my taking him in.

Awww..so sorry about your cat. That helpless little thing. I do hope he recovers from his limping. I have a black cat and we panic when he disappears.Once he was Catnapped he was gone for 4 days and he is a cat that never leaves the house.. After 4 days he came back and he was sooo hungry. We think someone took him and locked him somewhere and he just escaped. He is part of our family and we love him that much..

that is so sad why do u let him outside if u know what could happen to him i dont want to be harsh person but i have 6 cats none of which i would let run outside there are too many bad things that can happen i see u have a fighter there but i believe a cat has only 9 lives by the sound of it it has used up a couple why do u let him out when u know that possibly the next time he wont be coming back my god i dont understand this do u not want him is that the problem let some 1 take him that will make his res of years how many they might be to be peaceful and loved sorry to come down so hard but i love my cats and would never dream of exposing them to the dangers of the outside world please take better care of him he deserves it he must want to live so thats why he has gotten lucky i would keep him inside the next time he might not be so lucky

LOL. what a tirreble experience you ugly cat had. i love all animals regardless of it's kind as long as it is not harmful but must prefer to love dogs than a cat even if it's so pretty. we have cat in the house, the pet of my brother. my pet is dog, i considered him a friend he go over me always when i walking alone specially in our farm.

I hope he doesn't have trouble eating or has any internal damage. You must really love this guy to spend what I'm sure was alot of vet bills. I truly hope he won't suffer in any way due to his bad luck with life. You are to be commended for being there for him.

Oh I am really sorry for your cat.
It seems your cat is roaming only to get into trouble and to fight the war[!!] bravely and to come back alive with brave scars and wounds.
And he seems to be a very brave hero.
Yea,I think you are right in saying that its the toughest cat.
I have never heard of a cat or even a dog so much wounded.
And whats so much surprising is that its not frightened to get hurt!
I hope he recovers soon.
Cheers ! Good day to you and your toughest cat.
