Who is taller?... For ladies... You or your husband?... For men... You or your wife?... I am taller than my husband... and this was an issue in our relationship for a long time... but now that we have known each other for more than 15 years... we have long put this behind us... but we still joke about it sometimes when he can't reach item in the kitcher drawer... or clean the apartment cealing... How about you?...

My husband is taller than I am, though only by 3 inches. We both like that he is the taller one. Though not by so much that I feel like a dwarf next to him.

I guess my parents are odd then as my dad is 6'1" and my mom is 4'9". They have since divorced but my dad got remarried to a woman about the same height as my mom and my mom got remarried to a man not to much shorter than my dad.

That is like the perfect height to be taller... it would be very odd if the husband is like 10 inches taller than the wife... and a lot more odd if the wife is that tall than the husband... but then, i love... nothing really matters... thanks for the response...

I'm not married, but my boyfriend is 5/6 inches taller than me. I'm 5'6" and he's about 6', but I like it that way. It makes me feel safe and looked after when I'm with him.

That is the case with a lot of ladies... they want taller men because they make them feel more secure... but then... smaller men can do whatever the tall men can... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot... and i hope you enjoy your stay here...

Well, that is indeed fortunate of you... but i don't consider myself unfortunate because my husband is smaller that me... he compensated that lack of height with other good qualities... thanks for the response...

Well, I'm not married and I'm six feet tall. I have dreams of meeting and marrying a man who is 6'4. Alas, I doubt that will happen. My dad is 6'1 and my mom is 5'7. She said one of the things she liked most about my dad was that he was taller than her. Apparently she got to be 5'7 long before anyone else in her class did. But look at couples like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. They look wonderful together.

My husband is taller than me. In fact I liked to date with someone who was taller than me. I would like to have the feeling to be protected. So if he was shorter than me, I would feel a little disappointed. So the height does matter to me.

When i was still single... tall men are my type of guy... but when i met my husband... that preference changed since he had other qualities that i liked... which compensated for his lack of height... thanks for the response...

That is the ideal set up for a lot of people in our society... they think that the husband should always be taller than the wife... and if it is the other way around... they laugh about it... which i thing is rude...thanks for the response...

My hub is taller than me but it would never be an issue if it goes the other way around. The important is the love that binds the marriage.

Just think of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman! Na I'm only 160 cm so I don't think I'll ever be taller than my partner! It would be odd though. I'd feel weird being taller than my husband but like you say, it becomes normal after some time! Do you feel like you're the decision maker in the realtionship? Or the dominant one? I've heard that height plays a role in relationships..

Hello aseretdd, Aha, let me tell you something good. Here, they do believe that if the wife is taller than the husband, your life will be more prosperous. As for me, I am shorter than my husband. I am just 5ft2in while my husband is 5ft9in. I believe it is not an issue for us as it is normal for most of us. Hey, if you are taller than your husband, isn't it an issue who is going to do the housechores more... you or your husband? Bet you have to do more... *winks*

I am also 5ft 4in tall... and for a Filipina... that is a good height... since a lot of women in my country are only like 5ft to 5ft 2in tall... and when i wear heels... it feels like i am a giant amidst the small people... thanks for the response...

We both are of the same height. So far we dont have any issues in that regard. Both of us are not so tall so we cant do any cleaning in the height without using the high stool.

My fiance and me are both short but he is taller. I am 5ft 2in and he is 5ft 6in . I guess I am the true shrimp and sometimes he will tease me about it in a cute little way . It is a pain because I always have to get on chairs to reach things . Heck even sometimes he has trouble hehe.

I know a lot of women who are much shorter than you... and believe me... you will be considered as a giant when you stand next to them... being short has it pro's and con's... but it is best to always dwell on the pro's... i am glad your fiancee is taller... that means your future children will be like almost 6 feet tall when they are adults... thanks for the response...

I never thought of it as an issue, though I am not married. I also think that it's the people that only makes it as a big deal, just like Tom Cruise who married Nicole Kidman then Katie Holmes. Both of the ladies are taller than him, the press would make it an issue about it. Definitely, height doesn't matter as long as both feel the love with each other.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were like the role models for couples where the wife is taller than the husband... this was never an issue to them... even with Katie Holmes... or Keith Urban, the current husband of Nicole Kidman... i agree that height doesn't matter as long as it is genuine love... thanks for the response...

So what would prefer... you being taller than your partner... or your partner taller than you?... for some people this is an issue... since society dictates that the husband be taller than the wife... but love, i believe, knows no boundaries... thanks for the response...

That is so true... even if most girls want to have a tall boyfriend or husband... when they find true love... then height doesn't matter anymore... what matters is the love between the two... thanks for the response...

My boyfriend is a little taller than me.But when we walk together, people will probably say"we two are in the same height"or "you are taller than your bf",i think it's just from the vision...Once i have seen an article that if a man is 6cm taller than a women, then they will be in the same height from seeing...

well, my hb is taller than me. and among most of my friends, hbs are always taller than wfs. that is because most of men are taller than women. but tall or short do not affect your relationship, right? whether he is tall or short, you will love him if only you have the feeling to him.
