How did you choose your avitar?

When I first started on mylot, being the proud mother that I am I of course put a picture of my daughter as my avatar. Is it avatar or avitar? Sorry...anyways, I ended up taking that picture off because you hear so many horror stories of creeps and pervs using pictures of kids on the internet. I don't know, I'm probably being extremely paranoid but the thought of some horrible monster looking at my daughter made my skin crawl. Now I can't decide what to use for an new avitar. I have some clip art thing there now, but I don't think that I like it. How did you select your avitar?

Mine is from interests and hobbies of mine. Its ranged from video games, to fiction, to sci-fi, to nature, to anime, to visual novels. It seems though I've become stuck with a particular character (with the avatar as of this post being the fourth version of the same character).

I choose them because I think they look great, and I hope others think they are great too. There was only one avatar that was purely just for me and having fun though, that was one from the "mirror universe".

I totally agree with you about having your childrens pictures up. You never really know what goes on in someone's mind sometimes. I dont even really want to have my picture up either.
I picked this one just because I think it's adorable. I can't remember where I found it... But I fell in love with it right away!

Well I chose my avatar because I was inspired by Psycho Realm. They are a Hip-Hop group and very lyrical. It is a shame that not all rappers are this lyrical. I listened to their music and they inspired me to wear the gas mask with the lyrics they say in the music about violence, the future, and government conspiracies.

I base my avatar on my musical taste, so what ever my favorite band is at the time. So right now my favorite band is Arch Enemy and Angela Gossow is the vocalist for Arch Enemy, so right now her picture is my avatar.

When i picked one for the first time (this one) i just picked one that was in my computer memory! Just to check it out! but i'm thinking of changing it right now, or in the following days!

I select my avatars to match the seasons I change it to the holiday or the season right now I have a butterfly landing on a flower to celebrate spring. I had a heart for valentines day. I am thinking of getting something patriotic for next month since we will have Memorial Day. I never put pictures of my kids on the interent I am just not comfortable doing that.

The first picture I had as for my avatar is still the one I am using today. It was taken a top of an old belfry. I still haven't thought of changing it, but I might change that, as soon as I made my choice which among my pictures I can use. I'll probably choose one that can see more of my face.
