Yuwie gave me my 2nd random referral the 3 day ago. Im so happy while reading my message. Then when I clicked the link of my random referral, his profile is private. I can't add him. He is always online but I can't even send message to him to turn his private profile off. What can I do about this? Are we not automatically added to our random referrals friends list? I need opinions and recommendations about this..What should I do?

Referrals do not have to be friends. You will still earn on their activity. Making them you friend only helps both you and the referral to generate more page views, as you will tend to communicate, rate, comment, and read each others blogs as friends. I wouldn't worry about it if he is active. The only other benefit to being a friend to your referrals is that it might help them to remain active.

Yes, I got the same experience... Yuwie gave me a few random referrals already and some of them are "private", don't know really what to do with them..., others open the account and never go back to Yuwie again.... What's wrong with these people????
But regarding the random referrals with private profiles, if Yuwie Administration give it to us, they should put us automatically on their accounts as a friend, that's what I think....

I put a notice on the notice board were all my friends can see it, you might even want to try posting a blog about it. I had that happen to me once had a request to be added as a friend and then when I went to view there profile it was made private, so I posted a message on the notice board.

What I do with random referrals when they go private is that I rate them. Sometimes it catches their attention and they send me a friend request. Posting a notice won't get their attention because they have to be on your friends list to see it!

Has he been back on?
Maybe he just wants to socialize with people he already knows! Or he has his rating notification turned off. Sometimes you just cannot get their attention unfortunately!

To answer your question about automatically adding him to your friends list: no, when they assign you to a random referral, you are not automatically added to each other's lists. You have to ask to be added. Perhaps he would want to add you if you asked. It's great that he's online all the time, that means you might make some money off of him.
I got a random referral, too. But this person signed up once and never came back. I sent out a friends request, but was never added. All my referrals there are inactive.

I have the same experience. I got 3 random referrals already but 2 of them have their profile set to private and the other one is not even accepting my friend request.
Well, I think their pageviews still count even if we can't add them as friends. It's just that we have to make friends with them for protocol's sake.
