we finally got our new baby!

we finally got our baby,she is so cute. i wanted to surprise the kids but mainly my oldest. he has wanted a cat for awhile now. i wanted to get her through the day and put it in his room before he got home but our friend was working days. so last night my cusion went and picked her up and brought her over. he knew he was geting a surprise last night but had no idea it was a kitten. even after they came with her he thought it was theirs. after he sat playing with her for a few minutes we asked if he liked his surprise. he asked what he thought we ment them coming over. i said thats your surprise. he was thrilled! he hugged my cusion cuz he thought it was from her but thats ok and then we had a hard time getting him to go to bed. now he has to get up and go to school. poor kid. she is a calico and my two oldest said that they were going to name her miss kitty. after my husband gets up i will have him add the pictures to show.

Awwwwwwww that is so cute! I am glad you got the kitty and your son liked her. He will spend all his time with miss kitty now.

Isn't it great when kids get that excited?It's contagious. I'll bet he had a hard time sleeping. What a memory for him. Congrats on the new family member.

oh that is so wonderful. I had a tortoise and we had her for 15 years. Somebody had abused her and she came home to live with us. She screamed for 3 days and then she calmed down and became part of the family.

How sweet! I'm sure he'll love having the kitten around. Make sure he helps take care of her. One thing about most calicoes - after they get to be adults sometimes they don't like to be picked up. Not sure why but they don't seem to be as cuddly anymore. As long as he realizes that he's got to be with her on her schedule when she gets older they'll get along fine.
Cats are finicky about when they want attention. As kittens they love it all the time. As adults, some can be attention hogs and others could care less if you even looked at them. They definitely have their own personalities. I think that's why so many people like them so much. They're more like having another human in the house. Although, I have met dogs who were that way too!
I hope your whole family really enjoys the new kitty.

Isn't it an awesome feeling when you can surprise your kids with something they have wanted for a long time. I bet he is not tired today at school because of his excitement over his new baby. I bet she is a cutie and we all can't wait to see her. Congrats on the newest family member miss kitty.

I do remember your last discussion on this.I am sure that your eldest son would have liked it very much.
You have described that incident most beautifully and you have made the correct situation.Miss kitty is a sweet name.
