Do you eat meat? If so what kinds - Red meat, chicken, pork? Any thing else?
In our house we eat it all- I don't buy a lot of red meat, we eat a lot of chicken, and pork. I make a lot of pasta meals with no meat. My daughter doesn't really like meat yet so it’s all about the vegetables right now. I really like veggies over rice or some type of pasta.
What about you? What are your favorite dishes?
Thanks in advance for reading and responding!

I eat just about any meat except for liver, gizzards, pigs feet or tripe. My regular diet consists of beef, chicken, pork, fish, veal or turkey. I've eaten snails, rattlesnake, alligator, frog legs and shark. I'm sure there's probably a few other things that I'm just not remembering right now. I'll remember them after I submit this post no doubt.
My kids have been very good about eating most anything. A few times, my daughter expressed an interest in becoming a vegetarian. For the most part, we always told her no. This more recent time, we agreed to let her give it a go as long as she understood that it meant buying her own supplements and making her own food if we weren't having anything she could eat. I seriously didn't think she'd last this long. Due to so many classification changes to the term vegetarian, she can basically eat whatever she wants to at her discretion. I think it's cheating, but my husband says that as long as the red meat part is consistent, we'll accept her semi-vegetarianism.
We do love veggies and pasta and rice and sometimes I can get away with not making meat a part of the meal, but it's rare.

For us my daughter is young and its a texture thing still. She prefers veggies so thats what she gets. As long as she is eating some thing other then cookies I'm happy.
Not to doubt your decision but wondering, why is it that you don't want your daughter to be a vegatarian?

I have no problems with vegetarianism or vegans for that matter. I would have no problem with my daughter being a vegetarian or vegan. What I do have a problem with is her inability to remember to take the appropriate supplements to make up for what she's not consuming with meals. There are crucial minerals and vitamins that she's not getting. When she forgets to take these, she falls asleep in class, feels worn out at home and can't stay awake, can't concentrate on her school work or home work and can't complete simple chores at home. If she could be responsible and remember to take the supplements, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it. Secondly, I would have no problem with her being a vegetarian or vegan if she didn't blur the lines between vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There is a reason people become vegetarians or vegans and I just don't believe that you can take that reason and only apply it towards "certain" meats and other animal products, but not to them all. Either you have a problem with the care (or lack thereof) and slaughter of animals or you don't. I think it's wrong to say it's okay to slaughter chickens and turkeys, but not cows and pigs.
Basically, I don't have problems with vegetarianism. I have a problem with my daughter telling people she is vegetarian when she's not, technically.

I'm very much a meat and potatoes girl I love beef, chicken, pork, ham, and some fish. I love seafood even if it doesn't like me. I love pot roast with carrots and potatoes or corned beef with cabbage. I also love chicken in many ways. I like basics but I'm not big on casseroles or things with pasta.

You and me both too bad I'm allergic Still I do eat it on occasion and just deal with the after effects. If I only have it now and then and in moderation it's not a problem but I wish I could have it more often.

That's good. To me, I eat steak and roast beef. I plan my meal of steak/beef along with veggies, rice, and baked potatoes. Before my meal though, I drink water. During my meal, I drink more water and juice.

I do eat meat, primarily chicken and some beef. Rarely, if ever do I eat pork. My portions tend to be fairly small, that is, you will never catch me diving into a 14 oz. steak. If you count fish as a meat, I tend to avoid fish as well.
I really enjoy pasta dishes and can never turn down a hearty plate of homemade spaghetti. There is a restaraunt I go to that serves the most fantastic grilled vegetable club sandwich. That is my favourite meal though I have never attempted to cook the same dish at home.

Its NEVER the same if you cook it at home lol. I have done that many times ordered some thing then tried to make it myself - yuck! I am a pretty good cook but maybe is the little things that resturants put in the food spices and such that we don't realize.

The meats more common here are chicken, duck and pork. Beef and mutton are next on the list.
I eat all of them.

Yes, I do eat meat. I usually eat chicken on a regular basis but I love my beef burgers and steak as well. My dad is really good at making steak. We (my dad and I) don't eat pork at all. On rare occasions we eat duck and goat as well. But those meats are really expensive so it's usually on a special occasion or holiday.
I absolutely love meat in my pasta. I add eggs to my pasta with the ground beef.
My favourite dishes are steak with some potato salad at the side.
Pelau (which is rice and chicken stewed together and cooked in coconut milk) with lots of cole slaw on the side.
BBQ Chicken filled wantons, and alot of other recipes lol.

Well it depends on my mood. I don't really like a lot of meat. I will eat chicken and sometimes steaks and rarely pork. I especially hate bacon. The only kind of pork I'll eat is fried pork. I sometimes eat hamburgers but not much. We eat out a lot so we mainly get some kind of fried chicken sandwich. I might have to run to burger king now. lol All this food talk is making me hungry.

I, personally, don't eat any meat as I'm a vegetarian! But, my housemates love their meat! They particularly enjoy gammon and bacon, but also eat pork, beef, chicken, lamb, turkey... pretty much everything really! My housemates even have a 'meat dance' for when they have good meat *rollseyes* they're very strange!

I don't actually like most meat, I've not eaten red meat or pork for a long time, and i'm not a huge fan of turkey either. The only meat I actually like is chicken, but I decided that I wanted to be vegetarian as I don't like the thought of eating something that used to be alive, breathing and walking round on the earth. :/

Chicken's the best, though of course if we're talking chinese nothing can beat a good roast duck. I like Pork, though I've always had issues with Lamb and Beef; I've never understood why people prefer it. I think it's the texture mainly - for Beef at least. Vegetables are great though. I was never a fan until i lived somewhere where they can be a rarity, and so found myself craving things like peppers and cherry tomatoes especially. I have since discovered that meat is not a necessity for a good meal (though I still don't unstand how vegetarian's live without any ever?!)
Favourite dish... that's a tough one. Though I'll have to over-ride the take away duck in plum sauce with my mum's sunday roast, complete with cranberry sauce, stuffing and of course yorkshire pudding!

I love chicken! I have had duck a few times but its not some thing I would cook myself or even order. The few times I have had it - it was at some ones house. Lamb brings back childhood memories. My great grand mother would give me all kinds of things and tell me it was chicken till I was done eating. I don't know why I EVER belived it was chicken!

I don't mean to sound preachy but since you asked here are some reasons why I don't eat meat:
Cattle eat between one third and half of all crops grown in the world. They get their protein from plants. We absorb it (along with accumulated pesticides) for our protein.
It takes one hundred times more water to produce a pound of beef than a pound of wheat.
You need an average 16 lbs of grain to produce one pound of beef, 6 lbs of grain to produce 1 pound of park, 3 lbs to produce one pound of chicken and 5.3 lbs of fishmeal to produce 1 pound of farmed fish...if Americans alone cut back their current meat consumption by 10% they could feed the 60 million around this world who are starving today.
Meat contains saturated fats, cholesterol, hormones, antibiotics, toxins and no fiber.
Animals raised for meat are (usually)tortured and then slaughtered...I could never do this and I think if everyone had to kill and process their own meat, most people would become vegetarian.

i'm a pork person really. i can say that as long as you make something with pork i'll eat it. i am good with pork dishes. i can cook a lot of dishes with pork, mainly chinese style. my favourite dish is actually anything that goes well with rice. it can be curry, fried vegetables or a good double boiled soup.
but i am still confused as to whether pork is considered red or white meat. i mean i've done some searching over the internet but different sites classify pork differently. no questions about beef, mutton, chicken or fish. but pork is something totally different from the rest. can you tell me pork is red or white meat?

My hometown is near sea.so there are a great variety of seafood in my province.I am used to eating seafood, seldom the meat.every kinds of food have their own nutrition and they are all necessary for our body.So within one month our family eat one or two meals contain meat.Sometimes red meat, others porks, chicken.I don't care what meant to eat.they are all nutrition, and i will change to eat with different ways.but chicken are the least.I think the hormone is so much in it.
Some of my friends couldn't eat meals without meat.they love meat so much if one meal lack of meat, she will not feel full, feeling hungry all the time.I am so amazed when i know that.
Another reason for me not eating meat is that it's easy to be fat for eating so much meat.I often think that if i eat the meat,it will become one of my body meat.after eating meat,i will do much sport to lose the weight.
