Hi there guys!Good Mawning! How is your day?Well, I am just starting my day tonite, I work nightshift. I didn't get much sleep but that is okay since my mom cooked my favorite DISH which is "kare-kare". It is one of the best meal we have here in the Philippines.
It is made of peanut sauce with variety of veggies, stewed oxtail, beef etc.., it has meat as well. This food goes with bagoong (shrimp paste), sometimes spiced with chili!
What a nice meal to start the day.
By the way, I think dinner is the most important meal in our family since it is the time when all of us are present or at home.
What's your dinner tonite?
Cheers!

Before saying what i had for dinner, i took an important decision today in order to keep my body healthy and fit. I started dieting and I had very little wuantity of rice with brinjal. Then i ate one cucumber. No Yogurt which i regulary eat in my dinner. Yeah as u said dinner is the place we have all the family members at one place.

I ate lunch with one of my friends and have not felt the need to have dinner. I may snack a bit before going to bed.,, maybe I will make a mini cheese pizza out of tomato sause, mazzarella cheese, on half of an English muffin. Yum.
Yesterday night, I had something that I made...
I had no clue what it would be like...
I had a can of garbonzo beans, some rice and some tomato sause and put it all together, with a bit of water and a tiny bit of olive oil, added curry powder, tummeric, garlic powder, black pepper, and a little salt. I was pleasently surprised as it was tasty and filling. I was happy for the successful experiment in the kitchen.
Now, I am getting hungry. Thanks for making me think of dinner.grins.

I've already eaten dinner tonight. I ate it when I got home by which time everyone else had already finished. Also I wasn't even eating the same thing that everyone else did because we seem to have a different taste in food.
Anyway, back to your question. I had some steak and a plate of oven bake chips and some fruit on the side.

Oh I understand that. My brother doesn't like fish that much so whenever my mom will cook fish, we need to add some veggies so he can eat it! He love eating vegetables lolz. Cheers!

That sounds like quite a meal. Never heard of all those foods, but sounds interesting.
My favorite thing to do in cooking dinner is to stir fry a whole bunch of vegetables together with olive oil. I love to cut up some cabbage, onions, brocolli, squash, zucinni, and then add some ground beef (organic) at the end with a little plain tomato sauce. I do cook if for about 30 minutes and it is delicious and I can eat leftovers for a couple of days.

Well, I was going to cook but it didn't end up that way.
My husband coerced me into going to the gym with him. Then we were supposed to go shopping for bunk beds and a new washing machine but didn't make it that far because he was tired. He had to get up 2 hours early for work today. So we will probably go sometime this weekend.
We ended up at McDonald's for dinner where we had Asian Salads.

Your dinner sounded very nice, we just had chicken steaks with chips and beans, nothing fancy tonight as I did not have time to do much.

Yes, thank you. Wow chicken steaks! That is something. Love chicken recipes! Sometimes when we are not in the mood for cooking, we eat "ITLOG NA MAALAT" (SALTED EGGS) with tomatoes! And green mangoes as well!

I actually just finished dinner, and boy, I think I ate too much! My stomach is hurting me now, ahhh, I hate this. I hate it when mom makes something so good, you can't stop yourself. It makes it even worse that it was my first meal of the day, I hadn't eaten anything all day because well, I was being a bit lazy!
Tonight mom made homemade mashed potatoes, corn, and popcorn chicken (regular and buffalo style), with gravy. It was very yummy. The only problem was, we were low on ranch dressing for the buffalo chicken, so I ended up having to share a little squirt of it with my mother. Luckily, I had to share with her though, because had I been sharing with anyone else, I probably wouldn't have gotten any.

My husband and I had breakfast for dinner today. We both work nights so we had already decided the day before that we were just going to have some breakfast. He fixed us some sausage gravy and biscuits and fried us up a couple of over easy eggs.
