My grandma told me the same thing. But it truly has been a blessing. When you find that right one its wonderful to share your life with them, and thank you so much for you comment.

Hi girl,
I got married when I was 33 yrs, and believe me; I was unhappy much of the time, becuse I was married to an alcholic.
He was a truly a wonderful person, but when a problem would arise, he just could not handle it.
He was what you called a lone drinker/secretive drinker.
I usually never saw him take a drink, but I knew when he was intoxicated.
He said he really wanted to stop,he even had surgery x2, where they the made an incision under the skin of his abdomen and inserted about 2-3 tiny packets of disulfarum tablets, to help him to stay clean.
He had that done twice, but it could not be done more than twice we were told.
That was just my experience. I got a divorce a long time ago, and have been by myself ever since.
I do pray and hope you get a wonderful husband to help you fulfill all your dreams.
Everyones' luck is not the same. Blessings to you!!!

I was married 36 years ago to the most wonderful man on earth. That is not to say we have not had our rocky times but we have weathered them and came out stronger for the rocky times. I knew I loved my husband when I saw him and as we got together it just made my feelings stronger. He has stood by me through the surgeries I have had. He understands me like no one else can. He takes my moods in stride and just shruggs them off. The saying that comes to mind is He is my rock to stand on. I have never regreted marring my husband. He is one special man.

I agree with you that it is harder to find a good man in this day and age. My husband has always taken care of me and even when he went overseas for a year he was furious with me when he got back. I was really skinny not thin but skinny. He asked me what in the heck was wrong with me. I told him I didn't feel like eating. Boy did I get the heck reammed out of me. He said I better not ever do that again.

Hi,
I am very happy for you, that you have no regrets and a baby boy. I am happy for you.
Me, I had gotten married when I was 18 years old.
Why did I get married?
Because I thought it was the adult thing to do.
I wanted to be an adult, and seeing as he was in the army,
it all seemed just right.
Within three years I had two beautiful children, and a marriage I did no longer want.
The first three years, I did not see everything.
After three years I woke up and wanted out.
He said if I were to leave him, he would make sure I never saw my children again. So I stayed for another 6 years.
9 years of marrige, I got Baptised in a Baptist Church.
Coming out of the water, it was like being woken up from a bad dream.
Within a week I got the erg to open my Bible, and came to the place where it says, you are not to divorce.
I closed my Bible and opened it again, there I found The
Cor. where it says; "if you have no love , you have nothing."
It was in Dutch, but that was the way I read it.
I realized if there is no love, what am I doing with my life. And that of my children.
I felt I was being told it was okay to leave.
I had done my best and I was getting more sick every year.
Weighing only 54 kilo´s being 1.72.
I found the courage to leave and within 6 months I gained 10 Kilo´s. No more shakey hands, no more being sick all the time.
Know 16 years later I am finally living with a man again.
Since Jan 1st of 2007.
Who knows, maybe I will try it again. Getting Married.
First we need to get financially stable.
Money is our only problem.
For the rest we are happy together.
I never thought it possible for me to live with a man ever again. But, it all goes by itself.
Take care, have a nice day.
