I use the aerosol type. I know it's not great for the environment but i find the non-aerosol ones have very sticky formulas that irritate my sensitive scalp, and they alsways seem to gunk up around the spray bit so it doesn't come out properly after a while. Plus they are more prone to leaking too.

No offense, but I hate Suave. I think its one of the worst products you can use, but thats just my personal opinion. I prefer non-aerosol hairsprays, because they seem to last longer. You can spray them on the area of hair that you want to spray without it dissapating into the universe.

I know that it's bad for the environment and stuff but I really prefer aerosol hairsprays. I just find that they go on much thinner and better and do not get as sticky on your hair. I hae tried useding non-aerosol hairspray but I just don't like the results that I get from it.

Technically, an aerosol is a suspension of fine solid or liquid droplets in a gas. (Contrast with a smoke which is a suspension of solid particles in a gas.) In general conversation, aerosol usually refers to an aerosol spray can or the output of such a can.
The term aerosol, derives from the fact that matter "floating" in air is a suspension (a mixture in which solid or liquid or combined solid-liquid particles are suspended in a fluid). To differentiate suspensions from true solutions, the term sol evolved—originally meant to cover dispersions of tiny (sub-microscopic) particles in a liquid. With studies of dispersions in air, the term aerosol evolved and now embraces both liquid droplets, solid particles, and combinations of these. An aerosol may come from sources as various as a volcano or an aerosol can.
i prefer non-aerosol.
