Do you people think that computers are ruining peoples lives? What I mean is that, people are too addicted to computers and do not communicate with the outer world...
What do you people think?

Computers certainly play a major part of my life at the present and occupy quite a number of hours every day. Computers have also changed the my behaviour to some degree because now I would email rather than write a letter and record a television program via the computer instead of using a VCR.
I do not see any problem with this, it is simply the dofference between life at present and how life used to be.

Yeh, but I know some people who only see daylight like, twice a week. They're parents are like, enslaved to do his work and all he does is play Runescape all day.

Its not ruining our lives by any means. but i do accept most of us are hanging out with computers these days. We need to be planned enough to dedicate time for other activities too. it should be categorized well when to use computers and for what rather than depending on it for every purpose. if we can do that it will be good enough for ourselves and others too. but implementing this takes a lot of heart.

I wouldnt go as far to say that they ruin peoples lives. Computers are only tools. A mechanic who works on his car for hours on end isnt necessarily ruining his life, just doing what he enjoys. Same rule applys for computers in my opinion. It gives you the opportunity to talk to people thousands of miles away, the ability to do research on anything you could possibly think of, or even do your shopping without even leaving the house. Computers provide jobs for those of us with interest in them, they make jobs easier for people who use them, the list is endless of the things that would not be possible without computers.

What I meant is like, people playing games and doing "other" things then actually working. So like, people who play the computer and not have a social life and stuff.
