Which pet do you like, cat or dog???

I would go for cats. dogs are annoying and scary. cat can be your best friend and it is safer for the kids at home. dogs eat meat. cats do not nead meat that much. I love cats.

haha I agree with you about the cat being sweet when they want something, when I was little my grandma give me a kitty and I was so in love with her I was always taking care of her and she would always come to me for food lol, I was little and I clearly remember that :( my mom never let me sleep with the cat because she was always telling me the cat's hair could give me some kind of disease I don't remember the name lol, well, going back to your topic I prefer a dog rather than a cat, like you said they are sweeter and mines always wants to be with me even if I'm not eating anything, I have a tea cup and she is really small when ever I'm washing tv or in bed she goes where I am and start crying to get in bed with us, and she is really smart lol ;)

While I like both dogs and cats, if I were to chose a pet for myself, I'd rather have a cat. I think cats are easier to care for, take less effort (don't have to take them outside etc.) and are better pets, because they don't depend on you 24/7. My husband and I have two cats,m and we love them!

I have both dogs and cats, but if I'm honest I prefer the cats. Cats are choosy about who they offer their affection to, whereas dogs will love anyone. I think that's one of the reasons that when cats do offer us affection we are so pleased! I just find that my cats have more personality than the dogs, but they are both great and I wouldn't be without them.

this is a really apt question for me at the moment as i am struggling to decide whether to have a cat or a dog as a pet at the moment. I do like both and think they are both lovely but i am leaning towards liking a dog more, unfortunaly i think the cat will win tho as they take a lot less care than a dog and dont need walkin etc and i just dont have the time to walk a dog at the moment with my 2 young children

I like them all. I've had them all, too. I've had hamsters, guinea pigs, crawdads, fish, cats, dogs, you name it. I'm just an animal lover.

Definately a dog. They just love you and are loyal to you. Ours waits by the window when it is close for Daddy to get home from work then goes crazy greeting him. They turn your bad day into a good one just by being there and all they want in return is your love. We have a Pomeranian that we rescued from the pound and he is totally our baby!

yes I agree about that dog is mans best friend it protect you once they feel that you care about them them bark to those stranger whom they do not know, dog can do tricks once you teach them and discipline them.

I totally disagree with you about cats only being sweet when they need something from you. I have 6 indoor cats and they are sweet all the time, no matter if they need something or not. They will give me kisses on my nose, and cuddle with me on the sofa or in bed.

i would defenly i prefer a dog than a cat..dogs are real friends while the cat is more independent..he doesn't car so much about you..he just want to survive and have fun lol..while the dog lives for you the cat doesn't.... dogs are real friends....cats aren't... anyway there are also nice cats..if you want to have less trouble having a pet i suggest a cat if not i suggest a dog! i love pets either cats or dogs!

i agree with you i love dogs thats why i have 3! they are always loving and loyal and if i am crying my dog licks away my tears and always chears me up! i couldnt be away from my dogs they are my life especially as i cant have children!

I like cats because they are so self sufficient. They can take care of themselves. That is why I like them so much. They can be loving also. Yes, it is when they feel like it but to me that makes it that much more special. Cats have their way of showing you that they are displeased. A dog is always trying to get your approvel. I like the cat and think cat's are really neat pets.

I too would choose the dog over the cat I guess because of those things you've stated and just because I find that they are more comforting than cats and adorable with their puppy faces lol or it also could be because my family and friends are more dog lovers than cat lovers.

I have cats and dogs at home but i love most my dogs. I agree with you dogs has many uses. My dog watched our home from any perpetrators, if the dog caught anybody near to our house it barks this will alarm me that there is other people near to our house. we always have walking session with my dig every morning during my walking exercise.

I love both, and have always had at least one dog and 2 or more cats. The reason Cats seem less affectionate than dogs is because they are not Pack animals, that require company and affection from others. Cats are just as capable of sensing when something is wrong and all my cats have kept me company when I've been ill. The dogs would only stay near if it suited them. Pick up their leads and they'd be off for a walk whereas the Cats only leave me to eat or go to the litter tray. However dogs do have more uses than cats but again it's because they are pack animals and most of the 'work' they do is based on hunting or pack behaviour. I couldn't imagine a life without the company of either animal and it's been my luck to share 50 years with them.

I prefer dogs. They are more loyal and are always happy to see you. As you said cats only come around and are sweet when they want something, plus they jump on kitchen counter tops, and that is disgusting.

I do like both cats and dogs, but I prefer dogs more. There is nothing more wonderful than looking into the sweet and innocent eyes of a dog. Unlike people, dogs are not deceptive or malicious at all. They are completely sincere and full of love and loyalty to their owners. When I am feeling stressed out or sad, my dog can read my emotions on my face and always comes over to lick me in the face to cheer me up. I guess we can always rely on our dogs to love us unconditionally, and that is something important for any person to have in his or her life. In my experience, cats do not give people back the same amount of love and loyalty that dogs do.
