I am an EMT for the county of Brantley and our commissioners has gotten our lil county in such bad shape by poor management that it is 3million + in the hole. Now to try to make a mend in this situation they want to cut one of our ambulances out and 4 medics and emts. Now at the same time the just went on a note with a VOLUNTEER fire department that wanted 2 new stations because the chief was demoted. Mind you I said volunteer. So she threw a fit and whined to the commissioners and guess what...2 not 1 but 2 stations. Granted there is a need for fire depts but when you have 7 departments and 30 trucks already. Wait till we can do so to do it. OK how do you choose who dies and who don't? Our county is growing by leaps and bounds and we need another ambulance not 1 cut.

I vote we start cutting Commissioners' salaries until you get the money you need to keep the ambulance. When ya'all take forever to get to their loved one, they will get the hint. Until then, hey, so what is one more ambulance more or less.
