I Loved History And Always Made Straight A's In That Subject And I Still Love It, Especially Watching The History Channel. Did You Have A Favorite Subject In High School?

Earth Science and Astronomy. Other sciences like Physics, Chemistry and Biology classes were favorites of mine too. I also liked my history classes (well the subject I liked more so).

Hey there Progamer, I forgot about Earth Sciences. Good call! Funny, I don't really remember Earth Sciences class. That would be Freshman year Science, right? With basic geology, and the study of the solar system, right? I'm sure that I enjoyed it (especially since I've been a 'rock hound' since I was a wee lass), but nothing from that class stands out. Oh wait, that would have included accoustics and light theory too, didn't it? Did your school break down Earth Sciences and Astronomy as separate classes, or were they lumped together? I'll bet it would be really interesting to take an Astronomy course now. I've thought about taking it for fun at a local community college, which has a rather nice planetarium. Though, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Gee, we know so much more about the universe now, that I'll bet today's Astronomy would in no way resemble the Astronomy instruction available back when I was in high school. Plus, we now have all that terrific data from the Voyager I & II probes. To say nothing of Hubbel's contributions. It makes me wonder; Do contemporary Astronomy classes even discuss the really controversial, baffling stuff like 'dark energy'? Hmmm, maybe I do need to take that Astronomy course afterall, eh?

I actually liked art the best, followed by English Literature and History. I think I got A's in the first two and a B in the third. It's not funny that art was my favorite since I am an artist. I also consider myself a writer, too, with all the responses I write. We didn't have a History Channel when I was in high school, and I don't have cable at home, either. But, when I'm visiting my parents or when I'm at the gym, I watch it all the time.

Hello Ladylonewolf2008, Choosing a favorite is a bit of a challenge. Though, if I had to pick only one -- then yes, it was probably History for me as well. Followed VERY closely by World Theology. Theology was an ongoing requirement, as I attended a private, parrochial school. We studied all of the major world religions, which of course pretty closely paralleled world history, since religion is such an enormous part of the history of mankind, and our historical behaviors. Our primary Theology instructor was a lay-teacher, married with seven children. She provided a terrific emphasis on 'real life', vs. the perspective that the Nuns offered. She was a remarkable teacher! I hated Math, but loved all of the Sciences -- Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Though, Physics was a launching pad, since we finally got to think 'outside of the box'. Our Physics instructor was a Nun, who held a great fascination and admiration for Albert Einstein -- her passion was Quantum Physics and the world of unexplored possibilities it presented. I loved Literature -- though moreso European than American. And, I loved Middle English ... Go Beowulf!!! Outside of the requirements, I probably enjoyed the electives most of all. My favorite electives included: Finance, Marriage, and Forensic Language (which included debate, and the impact of language on culture). My least favorite was typing class. Oh, how I hated typing. I don't even remember the teacher's name. We just called her 'Sister Keys'. All of the above related to high school. As far as college goes, I enjoyed so many of the areas of study. Though, my two favorites were 'Constitutional Law', which was a multi-semester cumulative study, and a really cool class called "Chemistry for Poets", where we explored all manner of really neat real life processes, including making nylon fishing line. What a hoot that class was! Thanks Ladylonewolf, for the trip down 'memory lane'. Suffice it to say, I really enjoyed school, and still thirst for knowledge this day. That I attribute to fantastic teachers who injected the 'spark of curiosity' into me. For which, they have my continued sincerest gratitude!

Literature and Biology were my favorite subjects in High School. Actually, in Jr. High, too. I still love literature; I collect classics and still read all the time. Biology has always interested me, too. If I was younger, I would make a career of forensics. I think that would have been very interesting. Since I'm retired, I'll just enjoy it on TV and keep reading. lol

I would have to say that my fav subject in high school was any type of business class. I took about 2-3 years of accounting, 2 years of business foundations, 2years of business law, 3 years of business ethics *learning how to properly answer a phone, how to greet people, things like that*, 2 years of business operations *which was learning how to use a typewriter and do transcription and things like that* I would normally have 1 or 2 business classes each trimester my whole 4 years of high school.

English was my favorite. The very first thing we read in class was Romeo And Juliet. It was cool. I also liked Typing. Naturally, it became one of the things I do every day. I took two foreign languages. German and Spanish. I liked German more because we not only learned the language, but we learned all kinds of history, too. I honestly don't remember why I chose to take that class. Boredom, maybe? I dunno.

I loved Biology! Science was always a favourite of mine but I usually liked general science. In Form 3 (grade 10) they split the general science into biology, chemistry and physics. I did very well at biology and chemistry but failed physics...along with half of the class... I wanted to become a marine biologist once but have changed my dream. I can't handle disecting those stuff either! Omg! lol...I had to do an earthworm, frog and pig fetus...it was so gross... I go to LiveScience.com to read up on my science stuffs and sometimes watch the discovery channel.

I would say maths... I know sounds nerdy... but I don't care about what people think about maths. If you like logic that you'll love maths!! :)
