I was so upset, I thought I lost it!

Today, I went to the bank, so that I could deposit my check from the money exchange. I searched all through my purse, going crazy, and couldn't find it. I figured, well I must have left it at home, so I'll just have to come back later.
Well, I wasn't convinced by my own theory, so while sitting in a local chinese restaurant waiting for my lunch, I ripped everything out of my purse! I finally found it, tucked into the side of my wallet, yay! I felt a weight being lifted off my chest, I was so glad I hadn't lost it!
I took it to the bank and deposited it before I 'lost' it again. The lady at the bank asked me if I had found it at home, but no, I told her, it was in my purse all along! She laughed, and we both decided I had better clean my purse out more often.

That is kinda funny but not really I know exactly how you feel, I carry a purse but it usually stays in my vehicle but I think I carry everything but the kitchen sink in it altho it really is not that big, when I do need something when I think that I have all the compartments situated and ready to roll for the love of me I can never remember which file compartment I put it in so I end up dumping half of my purse to find anything and of course you can't just get a notepad to jot things on you have to do that on sales receipts and things like that so they always end up on the bottom all covered with all the pens and almost unreadable to begin with so I started sticking notpad sticky ones to the sides of my purse so that when I have something to right I can do it and then tape it to the dash until I get out of the vehicle..Money is always in my pockets so that is not a problem for me. I just had to respond to this cause it just happened to me earlier today I had to empty my purse for something silly I knew was in there but could not find it and then by the time I found it forgot what I was going to do with it...(LOL)

lol. I know, it is quite funny, now that I think about it. My boyfriend used to call me 'Backpack', because when we would go out I would hold everything of his (wallet, keys) and sometimes even hold the stuff his friends needed me to hold (wallets, keys, cell phones). My purse would be so heavy, and they'd all be getting in a line at the end of the day to get their stuff back, it was quite funny. It was better than them losing their things though.

The same thing happens to me. I hate to stand in line at the grocery or somewhere else holding everyone up because
I can't find my debit card. I try to figure out where it is beforehand and save myself some unnecessary embarrassment.

I have done crazy stuff like this myself. So don't feel bad. I one time couldn't find my license. What had happened I had changed wallets so I had a time finding them when I went to check out at the store after I had wrote a check. Later I found it in my wallet. It was there the whole time I just wasn't looking in the right spot

I only carry a man's style wallet (I live in trousers so no problem) as I have always found that if I use a purse/handbag then regardless of the size I can always manage to fill it to the brim - without it I manage just fine. I'm paranoid enough about losing my wallet as it has mt greencard in it and they are really difficult to replace and without it I have no way of showing I am legal here. Everyday at work (I am a cashier) I have women frantic trying to find their debit/credit card in their purse for five minutes before retrieving from the bottom of a small suitcase lol. My funniest loss was years ago I lost my passport and a decent quantity of Italian Lira in my home. I turned the place over but could not find them so had to get a replacement passport. It was until I sold my apartment three years later that I found both UNDER a solid desk, no idea how they got their - the sad part was the lira had devalued so much is was only worth about half the value originally paid lol

I have done that so many times and it is really scary when you think that you have lost something while you are out, but my bag is so big that it is easy for things to get lost in there!!

I have "lost" quite a bit of stuff but never a check. I have a habit of when I come back to check the mail I lay my keys on the microwave or in this bowl we have on the microwave. Then the day after I am looking in my purse for the keys, asking everyone if they have my keys or if they have seen them. Guess I should be more careful with my keys and start putting them back in my purse when I am done with them. I don't get a lot of checks but when I do I place them either in my top drawer or in my purse. I have to say I am a pretty organized person, for some reason things that aren't organized tend to bother me. As far as the keys go maybe I am not all that organized as I thought I was. LOL. Glad you found the check and didn't really loose it. That would be like throwing away money, nobody wants that. Which reminds me I need to deposit the check I have from them.

It's fortunate to get it at last .I could imagine how crazy to look for your lost card .I had this experience too last year.I lost my purse in my room, but I didn't know where was it.So,I began to look for it crazily. The way I passed, the bedroom, the floor board in my room. But,I hadn't find it still.I had felt hopeless and sat down in my bed.At that time I found that it was in my pocket. How pity!
