I canot choose one over the other really. Sometimes I lend a listening ear and hear others out; then at other times I find I talk a lot, at times it depends on the siuation you find yourself in. How are your listening stills?

I'm like you are. At times, I'm a good listener and other times a good talker. For me though, not only does it depend on the situation, but also to whom I'm talking with. For instance, I'm more of a talker with my family and friends than others. I also find myself talking more on the internet as well. Perhaps, the reason for that is, I don't have to worry about others interupting me on the net. Who knows? That's just how I am.

We all have different pesonalities; but when you look around you notice people who are quite similar in personalities. Thanks and please have a great day.

I would have to say that I am a pretty good listner. I tend to let others talk and only add something to the discussion if asked. I have always found that I tend to forget my problems when I listen to other's. I know that sounds bad, but sometimes I need to forget about my problems for a while.

Yes, I do have good listening skills, I trained as a therapist and so I had to learn how to listen properly. There is a difference between hearing words people say, and actually understanding those words and that is where the listening really comes in.

Yes, that makes good sense, as a therapist you must listen to your clients. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day.

I believe that I am a patient listner. I love to listen to other, rather than talking myself. You see, now a days, you would find everyone wishes to talk and narrate his part of story, but you would find few people, who are ready to 'listen'. So I listen to the other fellow very intently, be it my partner, my parents or my in-lways or even my kids. I feel by listening to them I give them an opportunity to vent out their feeling ant this in turn gives them a kind of relief. Good Post!
