Yesterday,I walked to the supermarket. On the way,an old man waved to me,I stoped,he said in a weak voice,"Miss,I am finding my son here, and now I don't find him.but I haven't any money at all,I don't eat and drink ,have mercy on me,please give me some money..."befroe some days, the same thing happened, that times,I give that man some money, but soon,I knew that man was a swindler! So I don't know that this old man was or not a swindler......I don't know what can I do?

Give because you want to give or don't give at all. You may never know if you are being swindled and frankly it shouldn't matter all that much one way or another. I actually hope that the majority of those that I have given to are pulling the wool over my eyes, the alternative is that our country is full of starving homeless people that don't have anyplace warn to sleep at night.

Don't be so nice to just everybody!
There was a guy who walked around my apartment complex saying that his car broke and he needed money to buy diapers for his daughter.A week later he was pushing the story that he needed to buy food for his dogs...
I always give money to people that are handicapped or obviously in need, but sometimes even old people are mischievous

That is always a tough call. I have trouble with that myself. I personally do not like to give out money at all. I prefer to give other items that can help the less fortunate such as clothing and canned goods. That way you know they are being put to good use. You never know who is really in need and who is just making a living off of pretending to be in need. I don't like to be that way, but I have to take care of my own children and I want to be sure I am not just throwing my money away.
