I am not too crazy about receiving flowers... but i do love to get roses once in a while... i remember during college... i had a suitor would give me three white roses every Friday... it was such a sweet gesture... but alas... i was never able to reciprocate his feelings for me... And when i was still a teacher... student would give different kinds of flowers... ranging from orchids to Malaysian mumps... and i appreciate each of them... But now that i work in the office alone... it has been a long time since i received a flower... my husband don't give me any... since finances are quite tough these days... and all that we have are spent on our needs... When was the last time you received flowers?...

Last Feb 14, Cheers! I am not really a flower girl..hahahaha! I'll be ok if I will receive and not! Anyway, the thought will count though but this time also, I understand if my husband is not giving me any since we are also saving for something that we want to make as our project for a year! Maybe summer time, I can just pick up flowers and place it in out table! Cheers!

Even if a person doesn't like flowers that much... when we are given some... we cannot help but appreciate them... especially when they are given from the heart... and those red and pink roses are really beautiful... thanks for the response...

I would love to receive flowers but it never happens. The last time I actually received flowers was for my birthday last year, they were from my son.

oh my g I am looking back and the only time Ihave ever recieved flowers was at the library where I used to work. They had had a big banquet honoring the friends of the library. someone had order too many floral bouquets. OUr supervisor was looking at them as I was getting ready to leave for home and she grabbed this huge bouque and put it in my arms " this is for all the hard work you have done today" it was mostly red and pink roses with some blue flowers and a lot of baby breath. very beautiful bouquet and I enjoyed it for along time.

The bouquet sounded lovely... that was quite a different and surprising way to receive flowers... but at least it make your home look beautiful until they lasted... bouquets last more days than the ordinary three red roses... thanks for the response...

I received flowers in the Valentine's Day this year. My husband was so sweet and he still remembered to buy them for me after work In fact if he didn't give me flowers, I wouldn't mind it, too. As the flowers are quite expensive in that special day, and I prefer not to spend money for it.

The last time I received flowers was probably about a month or so ago. My boyfriend brings me roses from time to time. I love getting them. I love any fresh flowers. I remember as a little girl falling in love with nature for the first time as I hid in the hedge and could smell all the flowers blooming around me. I've never forgotten that memory and have loved any flower ever since.

That must have been like a milestone in your life... it is like the time when i first fell in love with trees... i was so down and tired... and when i was walking under a lot of them... the wind blew... and small leaves came showering down my head... it was like a shower of love... thanks for the response...

I don't remember much from when I was a little girl, but that moment in time stands out in my mind like it was just yesterday.

That was one year ago. my girlfriend gave me only one red flower and I still keep it in book. when we get married I will show her that flower. floers make good memories and express how much you love your partner. well, you can pick a flower from a garden if it costs too much and give it to your husband. best wishes.

The last time I received flowers was Valentine's Day. My husband gave it to me. Now, I am growing flowers in my yard so he does not need to bring me some. I have a flower vase in my room full of flowers. I even teased him that he does not to buy for me. But you know what, women love flowers and we like it when somebody thinks of us especially brining flowers to us. It is a very nice notion of a guy to bring flowers to a girl.

I agree with you... all women would like to receive flowers from time to time... it is like flowers are created by God not only for pollination... but as a form of expressing love, appreciation, friendship... and even forgiveness... thanks for the response...

When I was with my now ex partner, he bought me flowers every now and then. But I think that was due to me pestering him to get me some. I'm sure if I had left him to his own devices I would have never, ever recieved any...though my friends do send me flowers every birthday which is lovely.

The last time I received flowers was on Mothers Day, which was early this year, in England... March 2nd. I have two sons and both of them bought me flowers, but they didn't want to both buy the same, so I had one bouquet of roses, which were a peach colour, and one bouquet of carnations, which were yellow, mainly. I love to get flowers, especially freesias, as they make the house smell so sweet with their strong aroma. Brightest Blessings.

nice question! never in my life i received a flower from some one or from a close friend. I am a male so in our country it is not appropriate to give flowers to man. Flowers is only for woman. I am the one give flowers to my girlfriend. Last time i give her was on our anniversary on February 14 this year.

I'm a guy, so getting flowers probably won't happen, its a gesture for the ladies. I got my wonderful wife some white roses today. No reason, I just wanted to do it because I know she would never expect it. Surprise is the key element. I don't think any guys will read this post but I did, follow up this one with "When was the last time you gave somebody flowers?" I'll respond to that one too.

Your husband is very sweet... and it is understandable why he doesn't give you flowers each month anymore... since the baby is the priority... but as long as he still gives you some from time to time or during special occassions... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here...
