My husband recently bought me FreeTime & NightLife and Bon Voyage he bought me a while back but I was not able to play it until recently because it wouldn't play on my old computer. Have any of you ever played these? These Sims 2 expansion packs are so great! There is so much you can do with them. You can form hobbies and talk about them and you can go to a downtown area and compete in contest. You can also learn to make candies, which then allows you the option of serving cheese platters in your home.
Also, you have a whole new range of items, such as a bowling lane and stand for the bowling balls, an ax throwing game, a tent, diffrent types of crafting stations. It's all really cool. They also have a car that you can work on. Plus, you can tinker and work on household items and gain enthusiasum in diffrent things. It's really cool!
The best feature in my opinion is that a Mr. Humble comes to your home and gives you gifts. I received a cool computer that was not in the items list. Also, if you keep your aspiration meters high, someone will come and give you a Genie Lamp and you get three wishes. I haven't gotten that one yet unfortunately . I hope I do however.
You can also buy vacation homes and go on cool vactions. You can play in the sand and build sand castles and do all sorts of cool things on your vacation. You can actually book the vacation for a certain amount of days. When you get there, you choose your room and actually check into the hotel and then you check out when your vacation is over. You can also meet up with the tour guide that hangs out in the front of your hotel and take all diffrent types of tours. Plus, you can dig for treasure. So far, everytime that I have I discovered something.
I'm loving these expansion packs but right now I'm so addicted, it's awful. I can't seem to break away from them . Have any of you played these at all? What do you think about them?

I do really love this game. My husband is at work all day and after my housework I have a few hours to spare and so, I need time for myself as well, in order to keep me sane lol...
I probably should go out and enjoy the day a bit more and now that the warmer weather is here, I most likely will but you would be surprised how many brothers and sisters are into these games. I know a brother in my congregation that just had a Playstation 3 party. There's a need for recreation, as long as it's kept clean and fun, uoi just have to find a balance. Thanks!

I have all the Sims expansion packs. They make the game more interesting. My favorites are Open For Business, Seasons and Freetime. They give my sims lots to do on their own lot. I love growing veggies and then having my sim sell them in a home business.
There is a new expansion pack coming out in the fall about Apartments. Then next year (probably in the fall) the Sims 3 will be coming out (if everything goes according to plan but Sims 2 came out almost a year after it was supposed to so...).

Oh, how I have Open For Business as well on my PC. I forgot about that one lol. How do I didn't know that I could grow the vegetables and sell them. That's too cool! That apartment one sounds really cool! I can't wait til it comes out. Where did you hear about it?

Don't get me started on those games. They are sooooo addictive. I actually play them often as I write here so I can get in more play time on it. I really love those games and have even created custom content and shared it within the Sims community. If you are on the site (Sims 2) PM me your Sim name and we can connect there as well and share some fun pictures and ideas.
I have made so many cyber-bud's there. Really fun.

Yes I have all three! I love to play them also!! There is so much to do in these three expanisions! I haven't been able to play it like I want to cause I am addicted to Mylot! I need to get a new computer so I can do both at the same times! I like how Mr. Humble gives you free computer.. have you look at what other new game you can play on there....Sims 3!! Check it out!! It's pretty cool! I love how my Sims have hobbies now. I try and make them like a certain hobby and they end up liking something else!! I love to going downtown..now you are able to walk downtown without calling a taxi or driving now you have Bon Voyage! So all those expansions bring great things to the Sims game!
