Would you Pay $1.00 for a beautiful House in a nice area, in the city of Toronto?
This beautiful 3 bedroom home went on sale today!
Of course you would pay $1.00, and so would many others! The seller already has Hundreds of offers. He says," Write your offer down on paper, and give me 24 hours to think about it. If I accept, I'll let you know!" The facts are, The seller does not have to stipulate the selling price at the time of the offer, he can decide the final selling Price at his own time.
What do you think of this novel idea for selling a House?

Its a closed bid, he doesnt have to accept any offer but he has grabbed the attention of the masses I would expect! I tried to sel a sofa on ebay for £173,500 and you get a house free lol but obviously ebay dismissed the auction :(

I think the man has had tons of interest in his house and probably a good many gawkers. With any luck, one of the curious will actually be interested and he might get a decent price. In this economy, with house selling so far below their mortgaged prices or not selling at all, it was probably worth a shot to him to see what would happen. I just hope he researched his ground on a legal basis.

of course yes. who will refused that very wonderful offer but we can't expect that it is really $1. Your final words or the conclusion states that " The seller does not have to stipulate the selling price at the time of the offer, he can decide the final selling Price at his own time". What if he change it to $1 million. Can anybody afford to buy? LOL

well its certainly an idea to draw interested people in to buy this house but really who could possibly affordto sell a house for one dollar? In other words this is a gimmick to attract people to come there then they have to come up with a much larger price to bid for the house.

I think it's a great idea. He hasn't stated the price that he is looking for, therefore, people will be going crazy to be the one to get the house. He could actually get more than what he is actually trying to get on his house this way. Plus, he is getting publicity, who doesn't want to be in the news and papers? I sure do! lol. Yes, though, I would buy a house for $1, although, I think it's pretty much positive that he isn't going to give his house out for a measly dollar.
