I did the same for a while, took the $10 and cleared out. I now have a different approach, I do not accept 'friends' that I have not engaged in a discussion with... I do not participate in discussions that are going 'too far', and there are certain people I will not engage with at all. You just need to be careful about what you write the same way as you are careful what you say to someone in the street. Here's what I do... when I have written something I say to myself 'would I be happy with my mother, wife and daughter seeing what I had written?' if not, I try again...

I'm still around myself. Happy 2008, a few months late. I'm also at a couple of other sites besides MyLot & the other one we met again at, as well as doing other things. A bunch of my friends here & I also managed to get another bad guy off of MyLot, but I don't know for how long.

I do not know who the bully was, but faces change around here constantly. You may enjoy it more now. Welcome back.

Hi there Julie, I am glad that you came back and hope to stay for a long time too. You are always welcome here, more so, missed as well. I do miss your presence here, because I find that most of your discussions are good and contributive that I enjoy to exchange views with you. You don't have to back down from a bully, me and almost all of your friends will be right beside you in-case a bully comes again right at you. (You could count me at these times, I'm just a PM away!) The only thing that bugs me is the star that is missing beside your name, I still don't know why you don't have any..

Well it seems like other trolls (or maybe higher orders) are going after various member's stars instead of just those that are most outspoken... {-I'll spare everyone the "I told you so" ;)-} Anyways, its still good being here. The star is just an annoyance... a lot of the other members are what can bring a person back and keep a person here... at least that's how I approach it. Plenty of people are warm even though there are disagreements here and there. Don't know if you'll find them, but there are a few prayer, thoughts, health, wellwish discussions that bring out a lot and show others that even behind the loudest voices rest some pretty kind hearts. You'll just have to experience it as it comes though Julie. For now, why not take it easy and slip in on your own pace. I bet it was a right or at least a good decision to come back. Oh and worry not about your 2/100 (thanks to Opera it loads the number up real fast before it "disappears"). You're part of a select group of two members I've seen that were able to do that... (maybe three). Plus it doesn't change who you are at all.

Hi Juliefaye, I'm glad you asked me to be your friend. I recognized you right away! I think you're also on the other site that I sometimes use. Things seem to come in waves on this site. I just started back here about a couple of months ago after taking a break and only visiting once in a while. I still posted now and then, but not as much. Everyone's been really nice here, so far compared to a year or two ago. But, recently, I've noticed a few bullies here and there. I haven't seen as much as the downright nastiness as I used to see a long time ago. I have had to deal with a few people who are just ignorant, socially inept, or just plain rude. Other people are dealing with someone who keeps marking people negative, but that doesn't bother me at all. I just move on and keep posting. If it gets worse, I will take another break and come back.

Julie, if it's any consolation, I went through a similar type of experience here at Mylot. Not the bullying thing, but it just seemed that people were getting rude, discussions were disappearing and a lot of the fun went out of the site. I recently returned and everything seems very cool, and the payments seem to have taken an upswing which is good....welcome back.

Yeah I guess we all experience at some point that we are bullied or have bad experiences. But what I did was just try to cool down and come back again to post ans share my thoughts. No one can really harm you in any way if you would not allow them to. So welcome back and I am pretty sure that they will not harm you back if you want to.

Hihi, Sorry to hear about your previous bad experience. I think something we must all accept is that there is black sheep in every community. So as long as the place is not dominated by people you prefer not to associate with, just sit around and have fun. I hope your new comeback experience will be a more positive one. Cheers!

Hi julie and welcome back...I tried visiting the other site from time to time and say hi to you. But been busy myself and just try my best to squeeze in some time for MyLot. I'm afraid there are still some who may be causing headaches to some members, based from the discussions that I've come across with. Especially with their star ratings that are regularly dropping. Welcome back!Just continue what you've been doing before here. I think whoever are making problems for others will eventually stop. Just like the bully you've mentioned. Sooner or later, their actions will come back to hound them.

Friend, I am new here. However I welcome you back to Mylot. Explaining the bad experience which you faced in Mylot may help others to be vigilant for not experiencing that bad experience in their stay here.
