Honestly, have you usually use the search function on myLot?

With numerous amount of almost similar topics in myLot, I am kind of thinking most people don't actually use the search function before making a new topic hehe...
I have to confess though, as I also don't use it before making a new topic but I do use it sometimes when I want to respond to a discussion with a keyword I've input on the search box.

It is obvious that some new members don't use the search box and many of them don't even read the FAQ or myLot guidelines either.
I find it useful to search for some topics or to look for an old topic I want to read again.

I see, I am pretty sure that I've read on the myLot guideline that we are not allowed to make a topic that's already existing but yet... I tend to see a lot of duplicates though...

Yes, I agree with you, kinda like me, hehehe. What I mean is I use the search function but ahve yet to read all the guidelines and the FAQs though Ive read most of the Faqs, just the ones I needed to know. I always do this before signing up for anythign on th eineternet. I also read the terms of agreement and other things tha might resemble a fine print in a contract. One can never be too careful in the internet these days. Dont you agree?^_^

Hi! Well, I actually use the searhc function on mylot but not for web purposes. I use it usually when I get a sudden strike of idea like in the interest section. Maybe no one else knwos about my interest. I search it on the discussions tab to see if others also have an interest onit. I also use it when Im looking for other discussions that im thinking of starting. Otherwise, I dont use it much hehehe. Its ok not to use it but at least you have the peace of mind that its there when you need it right?^_^

I agree with you... the interest section seems to be too broad. That's why I tend to use the search function if there's a discussion I want to narrow down to.

Well,I use the search function of mylot very very rarely.
I think no body will have any reason to search for any discussion.
If they come across a discussion which captivates them,then they reply.
No body,will be looking to search to answer a particular discussion.
I however find only one good use because of the search option of mylot.
It helps us to locate interests,if we don't know accurately,to which category they belong.You see some interest may come under more than one category.
I don't use the search option for anything else.

i also used the search bar to check if my discussion have twin on our community wall, and used it to search a specific or narrow down topics that i want to response, are you from baguio?
