When walking as a couple, male and female, do you walk with the male on the left and the female on the right or the female on the left and the male on the right. Most of the time when my wife and I are walking together I am on the right and she is on the left. Is there right or wrong way in this?

Now I dont know if there is a wrong or right way but my partner must always walk on my right and if im on my own with the children I make them walk on my right also, I do have a reason for it though I am blind in my left eye and if they walk on that side I am likely to fall over them or walk in their way so for mine and their own safety its best they all walk on my right side where I can see them!

I normally walk with some friends in morning as a jogging.
I've always loved running and jogging for the same reasons, but I can no longer do either as I have Heart Disease. I can't walk fast but I can walk for miles if I have the time to, and even at my snails pace it exercises my body.
Hope this help you.

When I started dating with my hubby, he started reminding me that woman should always walks inside the payment while man should walks outside the payment so that man can look after the woman carefully. He told me his uncle taught him that “this is the ‘protective act’ for woman” as being a gentleman.

If I'm with my husband or my adult son then they always walk on whichever side is the nearest to the road. If not near roads they tend to walk on my left, but most men I know walk on my left and my daughters right and it's because of where we carry our handbags! Or so they tell me!

When I walked with my girlfriend she was almost always on the right. I don't know, it just felt more comfortable to me that way, haha. We could never really hold hands because she was so short and I was so much taller. She was only 4'11" and I was 5'6". Haha. Our forearms would clash and it was extremely uncomfortable.
I really don't think that there is a right or wrong way to walk with your partener, haha. :D

When we're out and about, generally I'm on the left and my boyfriend is on the right. We don't have any particular reason for it, but that's normally the way it happens.

I'm just putting this out there for what it is worth. Some years ago i read in a book about old customs and where they come from that back in medieval time the male always walked to the outside to protect his wife. He also slept between the door and his wife in case of attack.

I dont think that my hubby and I have any method at all. Just which ever side we end up on works for us. Great question though. :)

I hold his left hand in my right hand most of the time. I guess because this is the side I stood on when we got married no method to my madness really.

I was taught that it is good manners for a man to walk closest to the street. I don't know if it's true, but I was told that it comes from the days when carriages splashed mud up onto the pavement, and people used to empty their chamberpots and dirty water out of upstairs windows. The idea was that the man copped all the filth, while the lady stays clean and doesn't have her clothes spoilt. How gallant :D.
