Hi,
I am from Southern part of India and for us too Rice is the staple food. We make so many items with rice. We all items like Sambar, Rasam and Curd with rice. Not a single day finishes of this main course. We make so many tiffin items also with rice. One of the famous items that people all over the world likes from south India which is made of Rice is Idly/Dosai. Snacks also are there that is made of rice. Yes, as you say there is lots of carb, but as we are used to eating this for a many gens we cant stop it immediatly. But what we do is we now alternate it with Chappatis made of Wheat for the dinner.

I like rice as well and often when I'm just by myself, I'll make some with just onion, pat of butter, and cheese. We use long grain rice thou, not that white stuff that looks like a bowl of starch when your done cooking it.

Hi athinapie! I do love rice especially fried rice with bits of ham, bacon or any meat and green peas and carrots. I eat rice at least once a day or else I would feel that I have never eaten at all and that will give me a terrible headache. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

Am from the Philippines too, I do love to eat rice and enjoy it.
I would simply turn those left-overs into fried rice, the next morning. I also cook and turn them into porridge, with beef innards and add some spices.

I also love to eat rice! We don't really eat it as much here, but I do really like it. I like to have it with different flavors and mixed with chicken. I also just really like plain white rice. I don't have it that often, but it is always a nice treat. :)

Yes, most definitely not only like to eat rice but love eating rice. It's the best. My husband and I eat rice all the time. Lunch/Dinner. Everyday. Simply love eating rice. We have tried to cut down to eating one meal of rice a day and so far it is working. Too much rice makes me put on weight but I still love rice.
Here are some rice info I found out:
Enriched White Rice contains nutrients and fiber that promotes good health.
Brown Rice often the recommended form in many diet programs is high in fiber and phytochemicals
Red Rice comes in a few varieties. In Malaysia red rice is generally grown in kedah or Sarawak. It is highly nutritious and is proven to contain large quantities of anti-oxidants.
Mixed Grains is usually a mix of brown rice, red rice, blabk rice or pre-boiled rice with other nutritious grains like buckwheat, millet or barley. Mixed Grains is a good choice if you want the many health benefits of all the different types of grained combined.

Rice is our staple food too. But we only eat it during lunch and dinner. Breakfast may include rice but in a small portion, usually it is fried rice. I like eating rice.
