Do you find that you can type faster since joining myLot?
I have definately improved my typing speed and accuracy since joining myLot last year.
All this posting is actually beneficial in many ways.
Do you agree?:)
When you type, do you try to use the accurate fingers as you are taught by the typing tutors?
Have you ever used a typing tutor software?Do you think that if you post more on myLot it can help you to improve your accuracy or typing speed?
What other benefits can you find?
Do you think it can help people to learn English if it is not their natural language?
I think these are all benefits to myLot apart from of course meeting new friends and discussing our interests.
Have a great week everyone!

I am probably one of the most unusual typers ever - I can type with just one hand! This is great if you are multi-tasking or holding a babu in another hand! The last time I checked my typing speed I was ay 62 words per minute - it would be interesting to see if €i€'ve gotten any faster!
I can also type with 2 hands but usually it is still my right hand that does most of the work!

Yes, I think myLot should include a built in spellchecker, then we could all improve our spelling.
:)
although it does in a way, because it highlights the words it just doesn't provide a solution!
Like now it is highlighting the word myLot and spellchecker. You would think those words were ok wouldn't you? lol.

I was already a fast typer before I joined mylot.
No. myLot does not help me to improve my typing speed. However, it does help me to improve my thinking capability. At times, after reading the discussion, I am able to respond almost instantaneously compared to the times when I just joined myLot.

If it has helped your thinking speed, then maybe it has helped your typing without realising it? Because now you don't have to think so long about typing, so overall your work rate has improved. If you were already a fast typer then it was probably quite difficult to improve any more than that. Have a great day, thanks for your response.

Perhaps a little but I do not spend too much time to know if I have improved greatly but I know that some people really need the practice and it has actually made a difference to their lives and the whole experience here is make things more faster for them or they could be typing with better accuracy too.

Yes,it has definitely helped me to increase my typing speed.
Although,I don't use the correct fingers for typing, and I use mainly the point fingers for typing,I am satisfied with my typing speed.
No,I have not used any typing tutor software.
It also has helped me to know about a lot of things which I didn't know earlier.
Needless to say,it has improved my English a lot.
Cheers! Have a great day

It does. I am so proud of myself now because I type faster than before. I tend to type faster because I wanted to respond to many discussions whenever I visit mylot. I seldom visit this site so I tend to miss many exciting and great discussions that's why.

i always look at the keyboard when i type because i dont know how to type using
my ten fingers. i can type fast though like 35 to 40 per minute with 98 percent
accuracy. Although this only applies when the things that i need to type is
being dictated to me or when im chatting or answering discussion on mylot.
If I need to look at any paper to type it in on the computer then my typing
speed s*cks...it'll be 20 to 25 word per minute hehehe.

I wonder if looking at the keyboard could be a confidence thing? Perhaps you know where all the keys are, but you are not confident that you do.
Perhaps you may suddenly find you are typing without really looking and not realise that are you doing it, then when you catch yourself, then you stop because you didn't know you could do that.
But yeah, if we have a paper to write, or whatever then it does tend to slow us down, because we find it a bit more tediious lol.

I don't think it can really make your typing speed better, but it sure can keep your practicing up to speed!!! LOL!!!! One thing with learning to type,,,,,it comes back to you with practice. Some things you will never forget.

I learned to type many years ago on a manual typewriter. I have always used keyboards but have only been using a laptop for a few months. I have definitely noticed an improvement since I first joined myLot. I am typing much faster and more efficiently now. It's not just myLot, as I write a lot of articles, and I find I can type a 500 word article, run it through the spellcheck and find no typing errors.
I think it is a good way to improve English, for people who are learning the language. There are so many benefits to myLot. Enjoy your week.

You too, friend. I have just added your website to my list of favourites. It is a good website.
I also am a freelance writer like yourself, so an accurate and fast typing speed is very important.
I see you are also a member of helium. I will look out for you over there too and add you.
I haven't written any articles on there for a while because of my moving house, and being quite busy on another major project but I hope to pick it back up again soon.

Yes, I find that my typing speed has improved considerably, since I joined here. I do the normal typing (not doing typing with single fingure). I can now type quite fast.
