It's a Dell, bought it last summer when my old one just got so slow we couldn't deal with it any more. I like it OK but I"m not crazy about the new Vista operating system. And I HATE what they've done to Word and Excel. Plus our old printer driver wouldn't work on the new PC and we eventually gave up and bought a new one even though the old one was working perfectly fine on the old PC. Anyway, right now we're having the old one optimized and giving it and the printer to my daughter. She has a lot of homework where she needs a pc and she keeps using ours!

I share your disappointment with Microsoft Office 2007. I think that the new interface can be useful and would be easy to get acclimatised to, but it does tend to occupy too much of the screen area.
It would have been preferable to have been given an option of either interface, just as we were when the new Windows XP menu was introduced.

My problem with office 2007 is that they took away all the darn buttons, even the really basic ones such as print, save, copy, etc. and you have to customize your own toolbar if you want them!

I have a dell inspiron 153 with windows Vista home premium installed. I like it very much and it has done everything I've wanted it to do so far for the most part. No compatibility issues. I have a good graphics card (ATI radeon HD 2600 XT) and over 2000 MB RAM. Runs very well and it so far has played gothic 3 and several older games without issue.

I have never used an Apple mac. I usually have a Windows based computer, but often dual boot it with a Linux distribution.
I really like some of the Linux distributions, such as Mandriva or Xandros, but would not like to part completely with Windows.

I have a MacBook, the white one and it's great! I used to have a PC but after using a Mac I've never looked back. I still have a windows based laptop just in case I need to do something that the Mac can't but so far I've not needed it. My MacBook is less than a year old.

I have a HP Compaq. It's ok, but pretty slow for being a newer computer. It was the cheapest one at Best Buy, but it certainly wasn't cheap.
