Let me be blunt, I think most people on mylot is just only to earn. I think if mylot stop paying they will exit. I think people should treat mylot as place for serious discussion. One fact is clear that you can't be rich by earning through mylot. You just can earn pocket money. So what do you say, will you exit if there's no earnings thirugh mylot?

I'd stay, as I've had quite a time here and still will. The earnings mean nothing to me. Other members may leave of course, but maybe it'll be better for the site overall (since plenty of "earner" members start the worst discussions and don't really participate).

You are partly right becuase the members did tend to be attracted here due to the offer of payment. However, many of the members soon become involved in the site for it's own benefit and have made friends here.
The removal of payments would without doubt reduce the membership drastically and also reduce the rate of new members joining, but I very much doubt if it would be enough to close the site altogether.
As for myself, I cannot really say whether it would affect me or not, it would really depend on the overall affect on the membership which gives the site it's attraction.

The successful user is humble and knows that mylot isn't a get rich scam. Also, they love to discuss issues, therefore the ones that come here to get lots of money are the ones usually to leave after a little while because they didn't get what they want. I love discussions and forums, so if myLot decides not to pay I'll definitely be staying. Thanks for asking figjam00.

evidently you have never been in the positon where earning even a little extra money can make a big difference and you also forget that a lot of us are here because we enjoy the discussions andd the responding and the warmth of friendship we find. I am a senior citizen and handicapped so I cannot just go out and find a forty dollar an hour job with the snap of a finger. this is ideal for a whole lot of us senior citizens and yes we would probably still continue if there was no money but I do not think that is going to happen.I think mylot is a place for both fun and serious discussions. I do not mean the fluff pieces like what is your favorite flavor of ice cream but the humourous discussions that make us bond with each other. do not sell us all short as some kind of moneygrubbers as that is just not fair.

To be honest I proberly would leave, but if I made a friend or two I would be more inclined to stay.
