I admit it, I'm old. My favorite show of all time is The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Oh, I'ved loved others along the way, Star Trek from the same era, Doctor Who, that also was conceived in that time, but I didn't discover it until 1981-2. The Sentinel of a more recent vintage - mid/late 90's. But always there's UNCLE in the back ground, coming back to the top. So, do you have a TV show you loved as a child that you keep revisiting as a favorite?

I loved The Man Fron U.N.C.L.E. a whole loot. Illiya Keriachken or something like that was the one name. Who was the other? One of my faves now days is Big Brother. I used to ove Get Smart as well. Don Adams was perfect for that role. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Illya Kuryakin was played by the same man who now plays "Ducky Mallard" on NCIS--David Keith McCallum. He was the little blond Russian, though the actor is actually Scottish..../o) THE Man From U.N.C.L.E. himself is Napoleon Solo--played by Robert Vaughn. Both men have played in countless films, tv shows, stage productions, & do lots of other entertainment field stuff. Just so ya know....;o Maggiepie

I ABSOLUTELY agree, I hate these "reality" shows. I end up watching HGTV, and the documentery channels.

you sound like my kindda person! I wasn't a big adam 12 fan, it was on during a time when tv wasn't real high on my priority list i don't know the gunman and i'm afraid that space 1999 wasn't one of mine - Tom Baker once called it a sure cure for insomina - when I was having a lunch with him in Nashville TN see me name drop!

thank you. i watched old tv when i was younger. now there is a channel here on my directtv lineup that plays old shows along with the extra west channel that i see for the gunman. sometimes its the better older shows that get it for me, i cant seem to stand for the reality trash that is out there. i hate to say it, but i cant stand reality shows at all. they stink.

I didn't care for the first 3, tho I remember watching "Father Knows Best" and the "Danny Thomas" shows since dad watched them. I did like the variety shows, Ed Sullivan, but while those were great shows, they didn't exactly inspire immagination. I've actually write an Batman story would you believe?

I remember "The Man from UNCLE",But wouldn't place it on a top ten list.My favorite show to revisit would be "M.A.S.H." The writing ,comedic timing and close attention to detail in most every episode make it a real classic. The Hallmark channel on cable runs the show in syndication for a couple of hours every night in my area.

And who'd've dreamed recording them for their kid. I'm sorry, as a person of a parent's age at the time, I might've considered recording some educational show for my kids, but not the Smurfs. Have you looked on line to see if there are vids available to buy?

Ok, so they weren't educational, but I loved them just the same. I am going to start looking into getting them on dvd at some point. I do have an LP record of them somewhere, and would love to dig it out for my girls to listen to! lol.

I sometimes caught a few bits of Duck Tales, but since it was on during my work times, I seldom caught it. I do agree about Tom and Jerry, those are so funny!

That's cool, I said of all time, and if you are now getting into tv, great! I mean, I watched Sky King and Roy Rogers as a kid, but it wasn't until UNCLE that I developed this passion for one show. It really was a life changing event for me.

I don't think I have a favorite one, there has been so many through the years though. I like the incredible hulk, quantum leap, picket fence, the jeffersons, good times, room 222, mod squad, fame, the practice, the ed sullivan show, star search, these are among my favorites.

I liked Incredible Hulk and the first few seasons for Leap, but I remember cringing at the time at Mod Squad. I guess I realized that it wasn't going to hold up because it was trying to be "hip."

I remember those, but I wasn't a child when they came out. I remember watching the Walton movies before they turned it into a tv show. It definately had its moments.

I rewatch The Andy Griffin show. Another one that I like to rewatch is Bewitched. I don't care for the new bewitched. I think the one from when I was younger is just fine the way it is. Another one is Gomer Pyle. I always did laugh at the situations he got himself into. All of these I consider my favorites. Out of them I wouldn't be able to pick one that I would consider more favorite than the others.

I love watching that show whenever i can catch it online. Those are probably about my most favorite tv shows of all time..

That's cool that you like the simple old shows. I never was a sitcom fan, but I know there are lots of people out there that just love them.

Glad to see another SF fan! I never got into Sea Quest - it came on during the time I had a bad TV that gave me migraines so I didn't watch much tv.
