There was a 5 year old boy, he was being babysat, his parents went out somewhere..The parents had a loaded gun without a safety in their closet. The babysitter had no clue it was there. When the babysitter heard a loud gunshot from inside the house she ran to the boy who had shot himself in the face!
This is terrible! What kind of parent has a loaded gun with no safety out in the open where a 5 year old can get it! This is tragic! I think if you have a kid in the house and you have a gun, you should be extremely careful, because stuff like this can happen!

That is so horrible!! Why would you even have it in the closet. I would never be able to live with myself. That was just a stupid mistake, and they are definitely paying for it now.

Shame on the parents! That is outright stupidity! My husband and I have several different types of weapons and we have two children. Our weapons are kept in a locked safe and my husband I each have a key. The safe also has to be opened with a code as well as our own fingerprint ID. We also have one in the house that is smaller which we use for protection and it is set up the same way. The parents of the five year old should have never had a weapon. Kids can get into places that we all think are absolutely impossible heck my kids can get an advil bottle opened easier than me. Anyway, it is a terrible shame and unfortunately the parents learned the hard way. Take Care.

That is terrible and it falls under the line of, some people shouldn't be parents because they lack all common sense. I have said it before and I will say it again...people should be tested for common sense and if you fail, you must take a course that will help you develop common sense. Then, you must pass that course before being allowed to have children. If it means you don't get to have kids for 10 years because you keep having to retake the course until you pass it, then, tough luck. If you want kids bad enough, you will do everything you have to in order to have kids and, if you want them bad enough, then being a good parent shouldn't be that much of a pain in the butt.
