I grew up watching SNL. The humor helped shape my personality and what amused me. My favorite character of all time would have to be Rosanna Rosanna Dana. What was yours?

I did not watch it often and remember an old woman hitting an older man with a purse. I don't know why I thought it was funny but as a kid, I did.

I think that was well before SNL. Are you thinking about Rowan and Martin's Laugh in. The female was played by Ruth Buzzby.

Oh darn it... I think that you are right... I then do not have any real favorites. Sorry.

Though I caught this one through internet recordings, my favorite has to be Celebrity Jeopardy's Sean Connery. The cat that can't drive is a close second, just for effect.

Oh, I am so glad you mentioned those. I love Sean Connery on Jeopary. There is also Mr. Bill. For a season or two, they would have him in really unsafe situations. Funny too!

I haven't watched saturday night live a lot, so I don't really know any recurring characters, but I do like Amy Phoeler and Chris Farley from the old shows. I think they are hilarious. xD

My favorite from the early years is John Belushi's Samurai character. I like how the humor relies mostly on the Samurai's actions and facial expressions rather than words. During the late-'80s, my favorites were Dana Carvey's Church Lady and Carvey and Mike Myers' "Wayne's World."
