Where Do You Put Your Keys at Home?

I put my keys back where I got them from, which is either in one of my coats or my handbag, the reason for this is that I know roughly where they are all the time. I used to have a habit of loosing my keys and searching for them for days when I used to just put them down on a stool or computer desk or some other miscellaneous place.

hi wondericequeen... well, my key's strapped to my company id, so i always have it around my neck.. and when i go home, i just leave it on my bookshelf... well, actually, that's just the key to my room.. i don't have a key to our house,... we don't usually lock it at daytime...

Most of the time I will put my keys to my handbag. Therefore, I don't have to look for them when I want to go out. Sometimes I am forgetful. So I need to put the keys in the same way so that I won't lose them. I love China

I should take notes from you. But more often than not, I throw them whereever I happen to be standing after I come in... couch, desk (bad mistake desk monster eats them) sometimes they end up in an obsure place in my bedroom (gone forever) I am generally disorganized. I am lucky I can find the shower in the morning

hi wondericequeen, as for me, i do not have the keys but my mother did... but if it was for my keeping, i would always put it in my wallet so that i have it all the time just like my wallet. taking home, digerati

I usually put them in the little table beside my bed. But I have lost them just yesterday. :( I think I left them in the cab I was in heading to the mall. Good thing I have a roommate now or else no one would be able to open the door to my apartment for me.

I usually put mine back in my purse, but sometimes I miss and they end up on the table right beside my purse. Of course, tonight my husband had my keys so I'm hoping he put them where they belong!

I usually lay mine down beside my purse or on the stove. If I know I'm not leaving again that day I will stash them in my purse but I hate digging in the purse to find things :) If I lay them on the counter by my purse, they are ready to grab and go!

It depends upon the situation. If we are going out for a brief period, we would keep the keys at a secret place (outside our door), known to all of us and when we come back we will take the keys. We live on the first floor. If we are going out for entire day or night then my wife keeps the keys with her.

always on top of the fridge! i got into that habit because i lose things all the time. my parents also have a spare key because i know i'll end up losing them one day! my partner always loses his keys because he just dumps them anywhere as soon as he gets home. i think key hooks are a good idea.

I put my keys on the only one table inside the apartment... it stays there so that if in case i need to go out again to buy something... i don't need to look for it in my purse... which is quite a task... then before going to sleep... i put the keys on top to the refrigirator... this sort of thing is like automatic to me... and i rarely forget my keys when they are on to of the fridge...

Hello wondericequeen, I have spare keys. One I will keep in my handbag and another one, I put in a special box where I keep all the important keys. At night, I will bring the box and keep it on my dressing table in my bedroom.

They would be in my purse.

i have a key hook. it has 5 prongs on it and i hang my keys up as soon as i walk in the door so i always know where they are. it works great for me. my husband on the other hand always misplaces his keys and i do mean always. all he has to do is hang them up when he comes in but that seems to be too much trouble for him so he is always scrambling to find them and asking everyone else to help too.

I don't carry a purse (much too cumbersome for my lifestyle) so I just leave my keys on my computer desk and pray they don't get buried.

Recently,I have become more careful about keys because last week a funny incident took place.My door has automatic locks,when the door is shut then it is automatically locked also and last week I forgot to take the keys outside with me and the door got locked.Then I remembered that I forgot the keys.I reached my balcony through ladder and then entered the house through balcony as I did not want to break open the front door.I entered my house like a burglar enters the house.I found this one very funny.

Actually I will keep my keys well as they are important. I always put my keys in my handbag after I am home. So I won't forget to bring them when I go out. Besides, this is a safe place and I can find them easily. I love China

I leave them all over the place. I am forever searching for my keys! I have a lockable garage attached to my house so I leave my car keys in the ignition so it is easy to find them! As for my keys I am meant to leave them by the front door in the key holder tray but for some reason this is beyond me!

I put mine in a draw in the kitchen, if I leave them lying about anywhere I know one of my kids will grab them and hide them I always feel uncomfortable about leaving them near open windows etc so I feel happier knowing they are hidden in a draw.
