What are some ways that a county can save money to prevent going into a deficit before the end of the year? Several departments are over budget. Several are under budget.

I can say that they are in way over their heads when they want to cut out EMTs and Cops. BUt I think that maybe they dont need to get that new rd equiment they voted on yesterday.Or maybe that some of those people who walk around picking up trash should be laid off. not people out everyday saving one life after another. Its just plum stupid.

And now they gonna get a tractor trailer rig. Been here nearly 50 years and don't recall one. Why now?

and who knows maybe they can find a way to secure a stretcher to that low boy...sure would help on some of the well fed 400+ pounders.

A start would be to have a decent county manager and not a crook for a chairman :(

Saving seems to be more difficult to do than spending. Any department which saves will end up with their next year's budget slashed and departments like their budgets to be intact.

True so true but sad
