Why am I so unlucky??

Lighten up on yourself and just stand up to what ever is stopping you from your success,there's one thing i have learnt about success and failure is that most not all people are afraid do what they know they should do about making real progress in their lifes.Ask what happen to that bonus you was suppose to get,stand up and be counted. i bet that guy who likes to roam and seems to be riding the gravy train has what you don't a"backbone" that's how he gets by he speaks up when there's something not going right.

well everyone has bad luck i have really bad luck i have had so much bad luck in the past few months im a single working father and i try and provide for my children have worked really hard for where i was at i had a car that ran so good i had bought a new dvd player and and many things first someone suggested me to a garage because i was haveing a little problems with that and i brang it there it ended up getting stolen because they called me and said there was a bunch of wires ripped from under the dash and i told them bull crap then about a month after that the tv i worked so hard or anthe dvd home system got stolen and i believe from the same person that referd me to the garage so everything i worked hard for got taken i was really mad and right no i dont have nothing i even moved so much that motor vehicles couldnt send me a thing because i have points on my licence they charge a service fee and i didnt know it so i never get the paper now i owe 370.00 and dont have it to pay so now my licence is suspened so yes i have bad luck does that seem worse then your bad luck i hope for things to get better and i hope for you that your luck gets better to have a nice day

I have no idea what is going on in your workplace, but why don't you ask them if you will be getting a bonus and explain how hard that you work at your job?

If my guess isn't wrong you are a software professional. There is one saying Subha, "Smart work gets the short time recognition and hard work a long time recognition". Leaving aside the recognition start working smart rather than hard. Since you may not stick to that company for the whole life its good to get those rewards and appreciations by your smart work. I understand that you dont like showing off , you need not show off really. Smart work is some thing that when people look at you they should feel that you are capable of doing anything. If you were assigned a work and asked to do it in 3 hours time, which u actually can do in exactly 3 hours. See to that you get the work done in 2 hours and enjoy the 1 hour. now you might ask me how you can do the work in 2 hours, its quite simple find an alternative, let those people who want to learn things do it for you teach a few ppl what exactly you want and get it done. Thats an easy way. May be this wont be the situation all the times but you got to think smart

Dear subha12 I share your grief though it is really upset news for anybody but do not take any tension. It is universal truth that those who are sincerely, honestly doing their job in the office/factory or any other establishment they are not getting their reward but there are few people who do not attend office and not doing any work but they are taking undue advantage from their boss the reason is that they can flatter their boss. Person like you who are sincerely working for the interest of the company they are not getting any benefit , as a result of which sincere worker demoralized . It has also happened with me in my work place. Do not be impatient ,one day you will get your reward. pkc3000

You need to speak to the right people. Go above your manager. Talk to someone who counts. If in your heart, you know you are a valuable employee then speak up. Don't talk angrily but be straight and honest about how you feel about your situation. If you don't get satisfaction then start looking for another job. Don't quit this one but chock if after expressing yourself, you still feel that you are being taken advantage of, quietly start looking until you find one. If you stay under these conditions, you will become angry and bitter and just begin dreading going into work. You deserve a job that you can feel good about going to. It'll be their loss if you leave ....know that.

Hi Subha. Its not only you who is in the same situation. My colleague and I felt the same way. We are both in the managerial position and last year was a hard year for us as we got burned out in the job but still continued working. The president promised us good bonus come christmas but it never happened. As the year started, the GM position was given to the newly hired guy who like your guy, was just babbling his way to the President's mind. He has not proven his skills but was a smooth talker and I hated his guts. Lately I heard he gets rid of people who is on his way to the top. I dont like to be with people like that so I quit the job and my colleague is planning also. I may ahve lost it but as I say, I know myself better than others and it will be proven and Karma does comes around. « Gab »

Do what you should do.I believe when you meet a good manager,he will be friendly with you.Sometime,you couldn't get what you should get is a seriouse case i faith.But,that isn't your mistake maybe.As long as you work well ,you will have better chance in the future,I believe.I have a bad leader too. I just could do that simpathize you .

hmmm...it's all about being diplomatic at work and knowing what to say to who at what time.i am not kidding.no matter how deserving a candidate you are you will never get your dues when you deserve them.there's this man in my sister's office.he would do nothing at work,will be on phone 7 hours of talk time,chatting at the same time and checking his shares quotes doing nothing which has the possible connection to his work profile.and guess what,he has just been promoted based on his ability to tell his immediate boss which shares would do well in the market.

I know these kind of thes make us believe that we are unlucky. But dont think it this way. I think God has something more special for you than this bonus. There is no such thing as unlucky. So don't regret for these kind of things you will get what you are destined for.

Sweetie I know it is unfair but most of the time that is how it goes and makes me angry It also proves that the Managers are not aware of what their Staff is doing, he does not know what the Staff is up to so how can they give Bonuses out when they don't even know who the lazy one is and who the Hard working one is I am sorry this has happened to you

Perhaps you are unaware of the actual work he does. Or perhaps your idea and management do not co-incide. This has been a problem for some time. Maybe you are doing myLot at work and this makes them unhappy with you. I don't know subha. It sounds like a miserable time for you. I would be leaving if I was so unhappy.

Nobody is in the world is unlucky.. Every one will get lucky somewhere.. If you loose something somewhere means, you suppose to get something better than this somewhere... Some of the better reward is waiting for you from somewhere. Don't worry.. all the very best..
