Two of my boys have a myspace page and I have made sure I am one of their friends. I check their myspace page everytime they use my computer. At first I didn't do that until I seen that my 13 year old had friends that were half naked in his friend list. I gave him 2 days to get it cleaned up and then checked it again. He knows that I will check it so he hasn't had that happen again.

I told my oldest that I would delete his account if he didn't change his page too. He tried to tell me that I can't, and I told him all I have to do is contact myspace and let them know that I didn't want him having an account. He changed his mind really quick.

Well I suppose I might be a "kid" myself so I dont know if I can give you great feedback or not. I personally think it is a little stupid when you get kids that are like 12 or so on there. I started going on myspace when I was 14 and now Im 17. I dont really go on myspace that much anymore because facebook is really popular here .. But I think it is ok for the most part except that kids seem to get easily addicted to it.

i think that it is a horrible idea!!! there are so many disgusting people in this world who's sole purpose in life is to prey on young children. and because some kids see this behavior as friendly, they don't know how to protect themselves. i really don't approve of children being on a computer unsupervised just because even the best parental controls can't keep everything out.

I have a myspace page and the only children who are my friends are family and those who are in our youth group at church (I was the youth choir director for 2 years). The children I know are respectable and wouldn't even think about typing something crazy on their pages. I know all of their parents and these are the parents that monitor their children's internet usage. I am a advent believer in monitoring what your children watch, look at on the internet, and listen to on the radio. So, I think it is ok for children to have a myspace page as long as they are monitored by their parents.

you have to be over 14 to use myspace, i think thats a bit silly really 14 is quite old, that is like year 10 in secondary school.
you are in control of your myspace and you can make it private ect, so i dont see why they dotn make the age younger, people only use it to talk to people so i think it should be made younger.
