I do a lot of reading over the internet, and I have just started reading books, going to the Library and getting different books, they have all kinds of books. What kind of books do you read? Fiction or Non Fiction. How about ebooks, I have purchased a ebook on line. Have anyone ever purchased an ebook online. or just tell me what kinds of books do you read?

I have read an e-book once. I prefer reading fiction to non-fiction. I have not read in quite a while though.

Since this discussion was originally about reading books, I did not consider this reading. I read a lot of things in passing. Newspapers, signs, websites etc.

the only e-books i buy online are books to help me learn more about marketing. but i read books all the time. the books i have been reading mostly over the past two years are self help books. I have been on a personal journey to fine my life purpose, to have a stronger relationship with God. and i have found it.
i read a lot of Dean Koontz books and books like that as well. reading is one of my most favorite things to do.

I am a professional writer, I have two books published, the first is in print form only but the second can be purchased in print form or e-book.
I don't have much time to read other that articles for my e-zine that I publish though. I can't remember when it was that I read a book that had nothing to do with my e-zine.

I seem to do more reading on line these days than anything. When I have time, which hasn't been much as of lately, I prefer reading inspirational, biography to name few of the types I like to read. I really would like to read the Bible more than I do.

I love reading books, just finished Catch 22 and it was fantastic. I haven't ever purchased an ebook as I don't like to read on the screen as much as real books.
I like to read all sorts of books, I am reading some modern classics right now, and am starting Kim soon!

i read a lot of books. the novels of mario puzo and clive cussler are some of my favorites. i also read a lot of john maxwell books. the "don't sweat the small stuff" as well as titles from that series are also a favorite of mine.
i guess i can qualify as a bookworm. i also try to encourage my daughter to read a lot of books. i believe that reading is a very good hobby and it is something that i want my daughter to pick up as well.

i usually read fiction books. adventure and thriller and suspense. some of the books i've read are Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair Witches, Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Deception, etc. i have also read all the Harry Potter books (they were ebooks given to me by a friend, the real books are soooo expensive!). i also read a little from the classic genre and my favorite is Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne Shirley series. i have also read Arabian Nights, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and a lot more. i also read local books which are usually sarcastically funny.

I will read just about anything that is interesting to me. I can not force myself to read anything that I am not interested in. I like mystery. suspense, drama, love stories, fiction and non-fiction. I don't have a favorite type or book. I just love to read.
When I go to the library or the book store and get a new book, I get real excited about going home and reading it. I always feel that it will open up a whole new world to me. I copied a free ebook from the internet before. It was worth it, but I do not do that very often because it drains all of my ink from my printer.

I do not like to read long text on the laptop, so I do not read e-books. I read a lot though. ordinary books. I like contemporary novels the most. Or crime stories. I also read some classics, and I enjoy some short stories. My favorite though is contemporary novels. Like John Irwing, Margaret Atwood, Ambjørnsen, Christensen, Bjørnstad, Kjærstad.

I love reading books. Sadly, time doesn't permit for much indulgence in this area these days, but I'm slowly working my way through a book right now.
I read just about anything, as long as it isn't a self help book, political or pushing religion. The rest, I'll give it a go, if I don't like it, then I can always put it away again.

I love to read so I read a lot of books offline. I am not into reading online as I can't lay down and relax then, while I am reading. I love to lay in bed or the bath tub to read a book. It helps me to relax enough to go to sleep and that is the main reason why I love to read. To turn my brain off of the stresses in my life so I can fall asleep. I have been an avid reader since I was a child since I came from a big family and it was sometimes the only way to get alone time. So as an adult I just continued to read a lot and for me it is an escape from life.

I love to read but ebooks and online stuff is a pain for my eyes so I make dutiful trips to the local library although the state of books there leave much to be desired.
I read only fiction unless they are cookery or craft books. The library is actually a storehouse of any kind of books you are looking for at that moment, at least I have not been disappointed yet.

I hate reading books most of the time. I just can't get into most of them. I was able to get into the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. There are 4 books in the series and I have read all of them. Then the Harry Potter series. I read everyone of them in 3 months. There are like 7 of those and they're all around 300 to 800 pages long. I don't read books online. It would hurt my eyes to look at the computer screen that long. I haven't read any books since finishing the Harry Potter books back in November.

I read a lot, too, my friend, but I'm not overly keen on e-books because I like to lounge in the garden and read, or whilst eating my breakfast, or taking a rest period.
I like history... especially English History and Legend, so I tend to read a lot of Arthurian books, Robin Hood, the Holy Grail, Ancient Beliefs; all manner of things I'm interested in. I also read a lot of Chicken Soup Books.
I like to purchase from Amazon, because you can always get the books cheaper from their affiliated sellers and their service is fast and efficient. Occasionally, I'll buy them in town, from the book store, but Amazon is my main place of purchase when it comes to books or music.
Brightest Blessings and happy reading, my friend. x

Hi marciascott, Congratulations! Reading is one of the most enjoyable of pastimes. I read both fiction and non-fiction. Try reading some of the classics, you can get any of them at the library. The e-books are fine too, although I've never purchased one. Find out what you really enjoy, everyone is different. Blessings.

there is nothing that can be compared to a feeling of comfort of reading a good suspense book while lying down on a couch

I read and write over the internet so most of my reading is done sitting up, I do however head to the library to see which books will choose me to read them. My kids are little so Dr. Seuss fills my nights. I like to read all kinds of books so it will spark ideas to write. I've never purchased an e-book but the library allows you check out books on-line and it will download it to your media player so you can listen to it instead of read it. Those are pretty addictive.
