Well tomarrow is out big garage sale day. There will be at least 140 garage sales in a small area. I already hit some f the ones that opened early and made of pretty good. I got a baby monitor for $4 a bunch of baby clothing and blankets for like $1 each. But the best was this brand new baby girl dress for $3 I dont know if im having a girl but it was too cute to pass up. So what kinda good deals have you been proud of wether at a garage sale or elsewhere?

The best deal I got was on a skirt at a store actually. I was at a Bells store and they had a big sale going on. Well this one skirt, which is linen with a built in slip, was on the clearance rack. I forget what price it showed but it was a good deal so I tried it out. I forgot that they were having the sale and that depending on color of the dot on the price tag determined how much then came off. I went to check out and it range up and I was stunned. The final price for the skirt was a whole whopping $.80. Yes that's right, eighty cents for a brand new skirt. I couldn't believe it.

You must live in the same city as another one of my Mylot friends. He was suppose to be going to a big garage sale this weekend, but had to cancel because he has a virus. Sounds like you got some cool things for good prices. I believe one of the best deals I ever got was just recently. I got a brand new book on Ebay. The regular price was $21.95 and I got it for $0.99. I was so pleased with it. I only had to pay $4.95 for shipping and handling. It was a book that I had checked out of the library four times and never got to finish. Now I can take my time with it.

I knew that your story about the garage sale sounded familiar. I did a little investigating and found out he is your father. How cute, I feel so silly now. Grandpa Bob seems like a really cool cat.

We have what they call "junk days" in our town. That is where everyone throws what they consider junk to the curb and the city hauls it off. Last time we had that, a person put out a carpet steam cleaner. It looked like it was brand new. I asked the person what was wrong with it and he said it wouldn't suck the water up. I took it. Thought if I could get it fixed cheap, fine if not, I could throw it to the curb. Come to find out, the piece to fix it was $6. A new cleaner exactly like it was over $300. I think I got a terrific deal out of that one.

i have to say that the best deal i got from a garage sale is this dress which I only bought for an equivalent of 2 dollars and 50 cents. The dress was only used once and it was still in perfect condition. I absolutely loved it! it was purple in color and that was exactly what i needed to attend my friend's birthday party. it was really a bargain.

Awhile back we started remodling my mothers bathroom (into handicapped) and i went into Lowes and saw a beautiful natural oak sink cabinet. when i ask what the price was on it, the salesman said that the reg .price was 250.00 but i could have it for 200. i told him that was too much, he said make an offer i ended up getting it for 75.00. The salesman said that it had been a special order and they had sent the wrong color! Boy, did i luck up!

I'm not much into it, but I do drop by at it and look for something I would like to buy whenever I see some. Mostly, it's those rare clothings that I always like and somehow can't buy them because it's way too expensive for me to afford when bought at malls and clothing stores. I like to wear comfort clothings, with a nice texture and is quite unique as well..

My best friend finds the most awesome deals at yard sales, last week she got some great furniture for next to nothing. The best deal I got was a brand new top of the line blender for $3.00 and a complete set of stoneware dishes for $5.00.

We really don't have garage sales in my area...drat! But every once in awhile along one block will be a book fair sale...me being the bookworm can never pass up books. That's usually the only thing will get me going there, and the price is right...hard cover books for only a buck..sheesh, like I need MORE books

I started this discussion awhile back and this is part of the discussion and the link to the discussion down below. But this is the best deal that I've recently got! This is what I got 12 pairs of shoes for a total of $11.66, I think they actually forgot to ring a pair of them up at that. I got 5 pairs @ $14.92 2 $10.92 1 $16.64 1 $ 8.88 1 $14.87 1 $10.83 1 $10.00 For a grand total worth $156.76 for $11.66 I've never gotten a deal this good before. Had they had more in my size I probably would have gotten more. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1333646.aspx

Hi minie_98214! I haven't been into garage sales lately but the last best deal I got which was 3 months ago is a kid's bicycle that I got for only 400 pesos and that is around $9-$10. It is still a bargain considering that the bicycle is still in good condition. I gave it to my niece and she loves it. Take care and have a nice day dear friend!

Last month ago, my wife go shopping. When she walking down the street, A small cosmetic store is sale and many famous brand cosmetic discount. My wife only spent 1 out 10 norm price to buy one. She was very happy. Oppositely, Last month, I bought a bottle perfume in the expensive price. I am depress about that.

i absolutely love garage sales and have scooped a few nice things there for not that much money! but i guess the best deal was at walmart a couple of weeks ago...i wanted to get a small magnetic board for my desk at work...so i went there to have a look and there was one that was misplaced (not with any others like it) and i had my hubby go scan it...it came up 10 cents! well that was a price i could afford! we got to the cashier (who was equally amazed) and i got it for 10 cents!

I was pretty excited when I picked up 43 almost new looking "My Little Ponies" for my son...yes, I said son...for $20 from Bartercycle. There were some babies but it was mostly big ones. They had been played with and loved by the little girl who'd had them last but were still very nice looking. Only one was missing it's tail and they hadn't been marked on or chewed or anything.

My mother used to set up at a flea market. She and I have always loved to go to garage sales even before she started selling at the market. One day I found some very old dinner plates and some even had chips but I paid the dollar per plate for them and afterwards I showed them to my mother and she almost fell over, she couldn't believe what I bought. Come to find out that even with some chipped I was able to get 90.00 for them and there was just maybe 4 or 5 plates. I have no idea now who they were made by or what the pattern was but I sure was exicted. Another great buy I got once was a baby swing, just like brand new for 10.00, needless to say my granddaughter loved to swing in it. Yes, I have found many bargains, can't go wrong buying baby and kids clothes since they outgrow them so fast. Good luck with your garage sale tomorrow.

I have had many bargains over time, but recently the ones that I have been pleased about is when it was before christmas and my 2 boys wanted all dr who toys. Because I had to buy two of each it would have been really expensive so I decided to look on ebay and I got all the toys that they wanted for next to nothing as I won all the auctions and no one else was bidding on them. All the toys were brand new, in excellent condition and also were sold out in the shops. I checked up again a few weeks later before christmas and everything that I had already got was going for 2 - 3 times the amount because no one could get the figures in the shops and they were getting desperate to get them in time for christmas so they were just bidding silly money. I was really pleased because I already had them all and had saved a fortune!!!
