With their frequency increasing everyday, its hard to find people who haven't..
So how many times have you seen an accident?? Was any death involved?? Describe the most severe accident you have ever seen..
Maybe YOU were involved in the accident.. Then go ahead and explain the experience!!
Me?? I haven't seen anything too severe though I live close to a road very famous(notorious) for its accidents .. Nothing involving dying.. Most that I have seen were funny.. For example, recently this is what happened:
An SUV didn't brake properly and went and banged into and medium sized car which in turn banged into and small hatchback family car.. This might not sound funny to you, but watching it live was very funny..
So what is your experience??

That wasn't sound funny..but just think about the people battered away just because of the carelessness of others.Like for instance,i witnessed an incident where in a truck driver who was drunk ran onto a motorcyclist who was a young guy and his head got under one of the tyres and it was crushed. And soon after that the truck driver fled away...I feel pity for such people who being carefull and following the rules, suffer from such uncertainites.....

Well, I've seen some accidents like a burning bus on the roadside, an overturned truck with loads of eggs, cars smashed but I always got to the place after the incident.
One time however, I and my friend were waiting for a bus. And we saw this car turning right to a street and the driver didn't turn the wheel precisely and hit the post in the corner. A woman came out crying out loud with blood on her face. I got scared and told my fiend I didn't want to go anywhere anymore. I just wanted to go home and be safe.

i've seen a few bad ones, but the worse by far was one in '76.motorcycle and semi collision.the bike hit the side of it and slid under.
helmet went one way..bike and lower half went the other way.it was pretty gruesome, took the guy's head clean off.

i wish that i will not witness one of them. i don't know what would be my reaction if the time permits me to see man lying with bloody body. Maybe i can't take long observing. If she/he need my help i don't if i am first collapsed.

Yes ive seen two really nasty ones and it certainly wasnt funny if I had left the house just a minute or two before I could have been in and besides that an accident is just not a laughing matter its serious. A man laughed at my best friend when she crashed her car she was 5 months pregnant and could have lost her baby how anyone can find anything like that a laughing matter is just beyond me. I hope to god its never you in an accident like that and that they dont just stand their laughing while you could be dying inside!

I suppose you are disappointed with my referring to the incident I described as Funny.. Well.. I said so because, it wasn't actually a bang, but just bump.. It happened at very low speeds and no one was injured.. Not a scratch on anyone.. So that's why I took it up casually and joked about it..

I have neve witnssed a car accident actually taking place, but I have seen plenty of cleanup, and wreckage on the road, both in driving by, and both because I have been stuck in traffic.

I have been in a couple. I have witnessed a man who rolled into another car in the middle of an intersection. I think he fell asleep or something cause he came across the center line and rolled straight into another car stopped at the light.
My husband saw a man on a motorcycle turn in front of an oncoming car and he was killed. It really upset my husband. Vehicles can be such a dangerous thing.

Yes i have witnessed some really nasty accidents in the past , but the one i will always remember was my friends accident. We were going on a bike and she by mistake entered the one way road which she wasn't suppossed to and was hit by a truck. Luckily there were no major injuries to both of us , but the bike was damaged badly. The headlight was broken , there was a huge bump on the bike. It cost her a lot of money to get it fixed and working again.

When I was much younger and also much more foolish I got a motorbike and then proceeded to learn how to ride it by getting back on every time I fell off - which happened with great regularity. I also manage to collide with a variety of objects both moving and stationary. In fact it's a real miracle that I'm alive today! Possibly the worst of these collisions, (and one of the few that was not my fault) happened when a van turned across my path when I was in the process of overtaking. I hit the side of the van, and both I and the bike was thrown over to the far side of the road by the force of the impact. The bike was practically a write - off, but I got no more than grazes and a cut scalp. This cut came from the webbing on the inside of my crash helmet which had apparently cut my scalp when my helmeted head hit the road.

I was unfortunate enough to be witness to a horrible accident many years ago. A guy on a motor bike was speeding down a hill and simply couldn't stop quickly enough at a set of traffic lights. He hit a car and was thrown right over the bonnet and onto the street the other side. By the time I got to the other side of the car it was obvious that the guy had broken his neck. the driver of the car was slumped against the wheel, I have never forgotten the look on the poor guy's face.
I have seen other accidents since then but this was by far the worst.

When I was a kid I was riding my bicycle on the side of the road in my neighborhood. We had no sidewalks. For some reason(I really can't remember)2 of my friends decided to go around the whole block to get to their house instead of just drive less down the road. Anyhow, as I was up the hill my friends drove past me and a drunk was going down the road in the other lane and he hit my 2 friends causing both of their cars to spin around in the road. Luckily my friends were ok and the driver that hit them was uninjured. The police later came and arrested him. I was just thinking I could have been hit as the driver was coming down the road on my side. I'm just glad nobody got hurt.

The worst accident I ever witnessed was when I was a young kid - maybe about 9 or 10. My mom and I were riding on a bus and saw the accident happen. We also saw the bodies in the road afterwards, and one head was lying without a body. My mother quickly put her body in front of me so I couldn't look out the window, but I'll never forget that sight.

I witnessed one when I was around twenty. I think I was still boarding with my foster mother or maybe it was soon after I married, anyway I never kept track of time and I did not have a diary, or cameras, but I remember we driving along the Trans Canada Highway and there was this car who kept rushing past us. We had lunch and then we came upon it in the ditch and it had been smashed up quite a bit.
I doubt if any survived. I also so a mini van get run in by a truck. There was quite a bit of construction going on. No one was hurt. And our car get smashed in by a truck that happened to be going around the corner. We had two cars, one that our sons were using and one that we used, so we get a new car, and our older son bought the rest of the payments of that car outright. Insurance paid for the accident.

Yes, I have been very lucky to not be involved in any fatal accidents but I have been in a couple myself.
One is where I was hit by a girl who ran a stop sign and plowed into me and my wife.
I was going doing the main highway and I seen that this girl just blew off the stop sign and ran into me and my wife. The first thing my wife said to her was ...."do you think my husband was in the fault?" I told her later even if I was at fault that she should say nothing and let the police make their report and never offer this type of information.
The other time I was in Brooklyn NY and I did not know the route I was taking and I pulled in front of a car. The man was talking on his cell phone and t-boned me and this was the second t-bone accident but it was my fault but I just kept telling the officers I had the green light. I did but I don't think I should have turned onto this road but I never admitted anything but the damage to my car was $5,000 and it totaled his car. But my wife did not say anything this time as I was in the wrong but I let the police write it up and I did not get a ticket.
Thank God so far that I did not cause or see first hand any fatalities but no matter how hard you try try you have to look out for the other guy!

I've been involved in a minor accident once when i was travelling on a bus.. It was travelling at a normal speed when a long lorry just cut into the bus lane from the left and it was so close that the bus appeared that it was tail gating the lorry.. Suddenly the lorry in front slowed down and my bus just bang into the lorry.. Luckily the bus driver had slowed down earlier on, and thus i only hit my lips against the seat handle, with just slight bleeding from my gums.. hehe
But witnessing of accidents, i'm not so lucky.. Most of the time i see, the drivers are alert enough to avoid in time.. hehe

I don't want to witnessed one.
Watching accident in the news makes me weak and scared...
