yes... i believe a positive projection of yourself reflects positive resposes from others as well... just like when you smile at somebody, usually, that person reciprocates the gesture...

I think it is the image that you impress on your subconscious mind. If you are thinking good, positive thoughts, good things happen. I you are thinking that everything is terrible, nothing is going your way, everyone hates you, etc. those things are liable to occur. I get depressed sometimes and think negative things but then everything seems to get worse. I keep a paper on the cupboard in my kitchen that says, "Divine right action is mine. Success is mine. Wealth is mine. Happiness is mine. God's river of peace flows through my mind, body, and activities, and whatever I do will prosper. I know my thoughts are creative. As an engineer plans a bridge, so am I planning prosperity and happiness now. I believe implicitly in the law of the Bible, which promises, 'Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.'(Matthew 7:7)" It is from a book by Dr. Joseph Murphy. I try to read this everytime I am working in the kitchen, to remind myself to stay positive and things will all turn out good.
