What do you do on Saturday Mornings?

I am up early on Saturday Mornings. Sometimes I get up early and clean the house. Then there are those days I get up and just lay there and take in the morning. (that happens more then the cleaning). I remember when i was little Saturday morning we would get up, clean the house, then sit and watch cartoons. I would go with my grandmother food shopping or walk up to my Grandfathers Deli. What do you do on Saturday mornings? do you have a routine? or do you just wing it?

on saturdays i usually sleep in late. my dad and siblings however wake up early because my dad goes to work for half of a day, so does my sister. and my brother has school. i wake up late but there are times that i get to wake up early. when i wake up early on saturdays i usually clean my room and do some house hold chores. what i usually do is that i give 5 of my dogs a bath. and that usually takes the day till the afternoon. lol.. but its good fun.

Saturday mornings do not exist in my world. I usually sleep in late and then wake up. Then I'm pretty lazy the rest of the day. That's pretty much my routine. Now, if I have to get up for something early, I'll do it, but it's not my favorite thing to do.

Well now that my bf has some time off until today i guess (he normally works 10am to 11pm) I can have some time of my own to get up early in the morning but i normally try to sleep in until 10am because I don't know if I'll get a nap later in the day and its hard to start anything if you know your babies about to wake up. I have been reading magazines, doing mylot more, and catching up on homework instead of having to do it at midnight.

that is nice. spending time with the kids. my boys are older and i doubt if they want to spend much time with me unless i am spending money on them. LOL my little lady we hang out a lot. she likes to but on her skirt and walk around like a model, or put on my makeup. when she is not making a mess around the house, we like to watch tv together or color.

Wing it definately...unless i have work :( I very rarely plan my days unless i have something important to do or an event coming up. Then obviously i have a routine. When i was younger i was always up really early in the morning, for no apparent reason :) I'd sit and watch cartoons until it was an ok time to go wake my parents up with a cup of tea...i think i was more organised then than i am now lol.

most of the time i wing it too. i need to get back into my getting up cleaning though. but with so much going on, i don't really find the time i use to have to clean up like i use too.

It all depends on whether we have anything planned together as a family or not. If not then I sleep in and laze about the house.

Saturday for the world, Sabbath for some of us, so Sabbath, which begins at sundown on your Friday, our Preperation Day, is spent resting, Bible study, and little 'laborous' activity. We spend the day enjoying the things God has placed in front of us, serving others, and puddering. Shalom Lady Bug........

I'm steady......watching the horizon......listening to the water from my sprinkler system....looking at blue skies and the bright sunshine.......here in Texas. A promise and beginning of another beautiful day.

ha ha ha ha ha... I remember those days too. In order to watch cartoons, I have to finish my share of the house hold chore before I am even allowed to turn on the telly. I would grumble and gripe, but do the chores anyways cos cartoons are like THE most important thing then. Heh heh... sure is a long time ago that happens. Well now that I have my own home, waking up to laze around is one of the things I do now. I will also sometimes wake up early to get the chores done so that we can go out for the weekend in peace knowing that the chores are done. Other times I like to get up early to read the papers and maybe catch a cartoon once in a while. If my in-laws are visiting, marketing would probably be the first thing to do when we get up. So depending on the week and the activity planned for that weekend, the saturday mornings are never the same as the previous one.

I guess it depends on whether I have to work or not. Which I do more often than not. So I don't get too many mornings to just lay in bed doing nothing. Though on days that I do have off, I would have very good intentions to do a lot of cleaning and then before I Know it I have spent half the morning on Mylot. Though yesterday I did plan to cut the grass, and I did complete that task!

good for you terri. i don't have any grass to cute but i did get a lot of work done on my site yesterday. however that means i didn't do much or rather no cleaning yesterday. i just finished a load of laundry and went and got my hair done. i am going to start dinner in about an hour. some fried fish and something else not really sure yet. then i am going to clean up a little give the baby a bath and get our clothes ready for school and work tomorrow.

I do not have a routine for saturday mornings, I just take it as it comes. I do try and get a little bit of a lie in though and then I get up and do a little cleaning and then the rest of the day I just chill out. We do not usually go anywhere at the moment with the weather being poor so weekends are just spent relaxing at the minute.

For some unknown reason Saturday morning seems to be a bit more laid back than the weekday mornings...we tend to spend longer with the papers and have an extrs cup of tea....and an extra half an hours sit down....but maybe it just winding down for Sunday!!

that is what Saturdays are for. to relax and read the whole paper, watch a movie you wanted to see, or just sit and enjoy the weather outside.

During Saturday's I always try to plan something with friends. We usually leave sometime in the morning so I am usually out surfing, rock climbing or doing whatever. If nothing is planned I will sleep a little latter and start my homework.

I usually wake up late and force myself to clean up the house. Saturdays and Sundays are the only days I can have time to do some chores because I usually come home late from work on weekdays, but there are times when I'm just too lazy to do anything and end up leaving my house a mess. Not something I want to get used to, although I just can't help it.
