Outside projects

We have been extremely busy the last couple weeks now that the weather has warmed up and everything is thawing out and blooming.
-We have edged the flower bed that was put in our front yard last year.
-We put new grass seed down in all the spots where the grass died (from I dont know what!!)
-We cleaned out all the flower beds and tilled them.
-The new deck is furnished and some flowers have been planted in pots.
-All dirt from the snowplows have been removed.
-Grass has been mowed.
-New flowers planted. (The ones that could be so far)
I am curious to see what projects others have completed so far this spring? There may be a couple that I could add to our list. I just love working outside and getting everything done. But it certainly cuts down on my mylot time!

You have been busy, guess that is why you have been so quiet, it sounds like you have a lovely garden. We have not completed anything yet although we are having our garden done in June, which I am really excited about, I have taken photos of how it is now, and then I will take some of how it is when it has been done so that I can see the difference!!
When my garden has been done that is when I may not bother coming on here much because I shall want to spend any nice days sitting in my lovely garden under my lovely tree. Unless I invest in a laptop!!

Seriously, I have so many outdoor projects that I ought to be getting on with that I don't know where to start!
The veggie garden still needs to be finnished. It's all turned over and the stakes and whatnots are in, but it's not all planted out yet. There's still another pile of potatoes to go in, though the first lot went in at Easter & are coming on well now. I've got a load of seedlings coming along well, but I was really behind so I still need to do more.
Then there's out little forestry project which has been waiting for us to give it some attention for ages and ages. First it was too wet and cold, and now we have a window of opportunity before it gets too hot again. We need to get in there with brushcutters and chainsaws before we can even think of deciding what we need to do this year.
And, as always, there's building work to be done. That seems to involve moving piles of heavy stuff from point A to point B. The trouble is that point A is normally low, and point B is normally high! Keeps me fit, if nothing else.
So I reckon that'll be enough to keep me going for a while. I guess I had better stop gossiping here on MyLot and get some sleep .... :-)

I've mainly concentrated on getting vegetable garden beds ready to plant. It's too early here to put much out already, but the grass will soon need mowing. We put a lattice on the south side of the patio to keep the sun from shining so hot on it and we cleaned up the front yard from winter's leaves and trash. That's about it, but I do enjoy working outside.

WOW, I need another nap just reading that!
Let's see...ummm...I leveled out the ground a little in front of the front porch and put two cement blocks down to act as makeshift steps until we buy some. Does that count for anything...?
We have been getting our garage cleaned out...we brought the trim inside to fry out and we will be staining it out in the garage in a couple weeks.
Our yard is all dirt right now and probably will be until next year. We have so many projects to finish inside right now. I am hoping to get a garden going, but I don't know that it will actually happen this year. We were under the threat of SNOW today- never came but sure felt cold enough. UGH!
