That has not happened to me but it happens to my hubby all the time. Apparently there are 2 username that he has used everywhere for about the last 10 years, no other people are starting to use it!

I know I've come across a few people here on Mylot who share similar names but are not the same person. I haven't found anyone with my name, yet. I'm the same way, I've been Desertdarlene since about 2004 or even earlier. Also, that name is for just about all my sites all over the internet. I use my last name for automobile chat sites and forums.

I have had both respond and at first thought you had double posted but I checked and saw the differences thankfully cause I was gonna make fun of you lol.

That's one good reason to keep your "eye" avatar! I ran into this before and found so many used a variation or the same nickname that I'm getting away from it. I won't leave you guessing, the nickname was Feather. I raise parrots :)

Well, I am not sure I have seen who you are refering to yet or not. But I do know there are other names on here of people who are simular, and you wonder if they are the same person, or what. Glad you took time to clarify it so if I see it I will not be confused here as well.

It has only happened to me once and that was in pogo. I had my sn there since 2001 and someone else created one identical cept the number on the end was one off from mine. That person came in the room and I was under a different sn (yes I have many identities in pogo) and e1 I knew was greeting that person as if it was me. After I almost split my pants laughing so hard, I finally said 'Ok e1, is the person ya'll just hugged is someone you really know or someone else.' They all claimed it was me and then I said, look at the number at the end. You really sure you know this person. lol That's when they all started in and wondering who I was and if they knew me since noone knew me under the sn I was using at that partiular time. I told em, yup, they knew me then disappeared and came back under my usual sn. Then I just casually said 'Hi everyone!' Just imagine what happened after that. lmao I felt sorry for the other person cause he/she was prolly thinking wtf. They had just created that sn and only had like 10 tokies. lol

Well so far I haven't bumped into anyone with a name similar to mine, yet believe it or not "pyewacket" is a very commonly used user name, in fact, I use this name all over the place, but every once in awhile I have to do a variation of it, as my user name might already be taken on another place. Rather than sign up elsewhere where my user name is used as pyewacket1 or pyewacket2 or so forth I usually do a variation of the spelling such as pyewackete, or pyewackette, or pyewackat

I don't recall ever finding someone with the same alias as me on a site. Granted, with "CanadaGal", that might be very different... but this time around on mylot is my first time ever using it as an alias. Thanks for the heads up... I'm sure I might have wondered about that new account if I came across it before reading this thread. :)

no i have not, well thats pretty sad and if any one is playing a prank on you i think it is a very sad one. i wont worry if i was you, sure a lot of people know you by now as you have been here long enough. it is good you posted this message so all your friends would know that there is someone else with the same name. hope that changes soon.

Thank God! From the looks of it, she didn't thought that she'll have a similar namesake here and I think she's also a nice person like you. LOL it never occurred to me that it was the same person and that you had a double account. I like the name angelwhispers and I am sure that many other people like it too, so it's natural to have someone else thinking about the same name. It's funny because my name is a mix of the initials of all our names in the family, I never thought that I would have problems with someone else choosing the same and a few months ago I was trying to enter arkaf as the id for another site and to my surprise there was already another arkaf there ! LOL

oh, thank you for the heads up on this - just do not change your avatar and I won't have any troubles as that is what I recognize you by... so long as she does not adopt your avatar, that is. too bad mylot does not make the pictures (especially avatars) copy proof.

I haven't yet on mylot. There are other sites where I saw a skinnychick though with some numbers after it.

Angel, darling, I don't care what anyone calls themselves - there is only ONE you! And anyone who knows you could never confuse you with anyone else. If it were me, I would wish she would change her name, though. After all, you had it first. I don't think anyone will ever have the name novataylor. I mean, who would? It's odd enough for one of us to have it, but two??? Nah, never happen. And who else is gonna be smutty enough to live up to it anyway?

I have been rather lucky that way so far, and have not had that problem yet, that is why I chose Deea and not Dee. There are hundreds of Dee's out there lol. I have had that nick since 1998 and still have not met another Deea yet. How ever I really do like your name, so having 2 Angelwhispers is just fine with me. I think it is a pretty nick.
