Well, my house is lovingly known as the Temple of Bast, because of all the cats I have. I have six indoor cats, and a lot of outdoor cats, we've kind of lost track of them. Two of the feral outdoor kitties actually gave birth only a little less then a month ago. We have two igloo style dog houses on our porch. One of the feral cats had a litter of four in one of the igloos. The other feral actually gave birth in our neighbors' yard originally, but recently brought her tiny little gray fluff ball into the other igloo on the porch (it's her first litter, so there's only one kitten).
Besides all the precious kittens, we got four rats not all that long ago. I really shouldn't have a favorite, I know, it's naughty, but I can't help but have a weak spot for the little albino one. She's the friendliest, and she is that rare albino, so I just cannot help myself. She was named Noel, by my sister, who gave them all to us. She was born on Christmas apparently.

Well if I had the room I would have alot of animals. But for now I have 5. I have two dogs, an australian shepard mix and a puggle. I have three lizards, two are bearded dragons and one is an iguana I rescued. I also have a fish tank with about 30 fish in it.
My son is in head start and at the end of the year im going to bring home there class pets which are gerbils. There are 3 of them that need a home so I voluntered to take them.
Some day I would like to have a whole lot of land so I could own horses and more dogs. Maybe a pig, ducks and bunnys too. LOL! Yep I love animals and I wish I could have a ton of them.

well, i got 4 goldfish in end of March as a gift, but in April, i accidentally killed 2. and i am not sure how or why...if i overfed, underfed or i didnt change their water. so, i am not really sure how to take care of fish...just trying to give just enough food without overfeeding, and changing their water maybe every 2 weeks or not more than a month.
i think the fish tank water is supposed to be kept in normal room temperature and i am not supposed to add colder water to it or they could die. and someone mentioned that i can dump out 3/4 of the water in the tank and leave the fish in their original 1/4 water while i add clean filtered room temperature water to the tank to fill the tank. so i dont have to remove the fish and spill the whole tank out. if the water temperature changes, they could die.
so that is what i am doing...hoping the other 2 live.

my mother use to have a toy cup poodle when i was growing up, and she
took that dog everywhere! LOL It's surprising that she didn't take it to the
court with her whenever she had to go. :)

Hi Bussy1979!
I'm fine. How about you? Right now, we only have parakeets. We currently have five of them. We named them Hyon, Silfy, Gywen, Divine and Dragon. We got their names from our favorite online game called MU Philippines Online.
It's great that you have parakeets too. How old are they?
Have a good evening too.

We used to have two dogs and a fish. But now we just have the fish because our dogs passed away. One of them was just old and passed away from old age. The other was about 2 years old and we think she must have gotten bit by something. She started acting weird one day...laying around when she used to be hyper, not eating much, etc and we were planning to take her to the vet the next day and she passed away before we could get her there.

hi there sweetgirl_k1,
how's it going today? so, you've got fish as your pets? i think fish are cute, but i don't think that i could raise them. because of the fact that i couldn't hold them and love them. i like animals where you can hold them, pet them, and give them love to. fish are a nice pets to have, don't get me wrong, but that's just my opinion ya know.
i'm sorry to hear that your dogs passed away. i have been there before on losing puppys before. my mom lost her 14 year old toy cup poodle dog about maybe 5 or 6 years ago, i can't remember the actual date though. but she grieved for him like crazy. him and her were close like ever! it's very sad to lose a puppy or another animal that you've had that many years for.
i don't know what i'm going to do when i DO lose my male pig. he's the life of me. he's always doing something to make me laugh. i know that i'm going to miss him very much though. i will cry many days when that day does come.
Thanks for your response sweetgirl_k1 and hope you have a beautiful day today!

wow. I don't have any pets. We use to have a puppy but once I had my surgery with 2 kids it was too much for me to take care of so hubby gave him away. I do miss him sometimes even though he tracked in everything from outside. He was scared of the kids anyway. I sometimes wish that we could visit him but hubby made it where we can't. Hes mean about it everytime I ask him about it. It upsets me.

Hi,
Cats, cats and more cats. Actually we have a dozen cats. Seven are mostly outdoor cats in a cat-fenced yard with a big tree. They also have a cat-friendly garage with a bed with an electric blanket, woodburner, crib and many roosting places.
We also have five indoor kitties. Our cats range from two that are 16, two that are 14, 1 that is 13, one that is 12 and on down in age from 12.
They are all rescues and all domestic shorthair mixed kitties - six tabbies in all colors, one tuxedo, one beige, two grays and one Himalayan (dumped nearby) and one Ragdoll that we purchased to be a buddy to the Himalayan who none of the cats liked. She is a very large cat - around 20 lbs.
We took five 12 day old kittens home in 1999 from an awful shelter and I hand fed them for five weeks. There were times we almost lost them. We adopted out three of them and one came back because he refused to learn to use the human toilet! He passed away shortly after that when another cat jumped on him in play. I often wonder if the woman had hit him and weakened his back.
Anyway, if I could have a cat shelter I would probably love it but would need help with the up-keep.
Anyway, cats rule and one can never have too many cats from my point of view. All of the unconditional love but from an independent standpoint is wonderful.

hi there yucca13,
so, you are a cat lover? LOL I love cats too! they are cute and fun to be with aren't they? i've had cats before in the past. he was a gray and black one. kinda looked like a tiger cat though. but, he ran away, sadly, and i haven't had no more cats since. i wouldn't mind having another one though. but in the apartment that i live in, i can only have caged animals. which are my guinea pigs, and cockatiel birds.
that's good enough for me right now, as the price on pet foods are soaring
high these days it seems like.
thanks there yucca13 for your response, and have a beautiful day today!
