I celebrated my eighteenth birthday recently. I had my debut. My dad's present for me is a car. I got my student's license a few months ago and I am learning how to drive in our village. What is more suitable for me? Do you suggest that I drive a manual or automatic car? Some say that manual cars are hard to drive because you need to shift gears and all that jazz. Some say that automatic cars are very easy to drive. I really want to know what is best for me so do help me out guys.

well, I do not know what to say.
but if you are comfortable with an automatic one, you should go for it.
for me, I prefer the manual one. it makes me enjyo riding better.

Personally, I would suggest you learn how to drive a manual car. I know it seems complicated at first but in the long run it will benefit you. If you can drive a manual car it's easy to drive an automatic as you have one less pedal to worry about! I've also heard that automatic cars consume more petrol than manual cars.

Thank you podqueen. My friends and relatives also keep on telling me to learn how to drive a manual car first because if you know how to drive a manual car, driving an automatic car will be a piece of cake. Thanks for telling me also that automatic cars consume more gas than manual cars. I will take that into consideration. If driving manual cars will help me spend less money on gas then I will definitely be asking my dad to buy me a manual car first.

Firts belated Happy bday to you. Well, you are lucky enough to have a car as a bday present from your dad.
It is better to learn driving in a manual car first. If you can drive a manual car, they say that you can easily drive an automatic car.
Automatic car is easy to drive and for girls, I guess automatic cars is suitable. But it really depends on you which one you will choose, which one finds you more at ease and happy to drive with.
