Two weeks ago I said I was on a challenge to reach this month's payment. I needed $7 more. From that day up until now, I've only managed to log in a few days and only gained $3. Plus, it's so hard for me to find a discussion I can respond to. Of all the hundreds and thousands of topics and discussions here, it took me a half hour to even find 1 discussion I feel I could respond to. And all I needed to type was a couple of lines. I give up!! I don't have the time and I can't help being too picky about my response.
Anybody here have the same problem?

In two weeks you've only made $3? You're definitely doing something wrong.
What sort of discussions are you looking for that you can't find something to respond to? Let me know and I'll start them and you can respond all day!
How are you looking for the discussions? Are you going just by what is on your home page? Are you just looking at discussions your friends started? Are you going through your interests?
If so, maybe you need to add more friends and more interests. That will populate your home page with more/different discussions to choose from at the outset.

In my opinion, this issue depends on the amount of time one has to spend on the internet and
the amount of money we need to earn on an hourly basis.
I earn much more money selling my artwork on the internet than I would ever earn on mylot.
The expression:
"different strokes for different folks" definitely applies here.

Thank you very much for your kind offer. How nice of you. But if you ask me what kind of discussion I'm looking for, I really don't have any idea myself.
I've done everything you've mentioned and I'm open for any type of discussion, but still it's hard for me to respond. The problem is, I can't get myself to just give responses just like that. When I find a discussion that's interesting it usually has a lot of responses already and what I wanted to say has already been said. The discussions that still have few responses I often find not interesting enough for me to have a lot to say, and I usually never bother to give a 1 or 2 liner response, unless I really want to say it.

Even I have problem to find out discussions for which i can post and one more thing i cant copy and paste e.g. if i want to post link i need to type it all the way which is bit boring. If there is perticular way to find the discussions of ur interest then please let me know. i think guys who are here for longer time can help us in that.

I have the same problem. I find that by the time I clink on to a topic everything that I would have said is already there. Or I find topics like " how old are you" , " what is your favorite color" and so on. I will log on here for an hour or so and only find one or two topics to respond to. I have been a My lot member for over a year and have never made payout. I read all of the time that many accomplish payout every month. I guess that I am just not that dedicated to it. Nice post!

Hi barbiegirl, that's exactly what I mean. There are so many open discussions but then again there are even more that want to have a say and quite a lot of them have the same opinion.
I actually think you're quite dedicated to MyLot. You haven't made payout for over a year and yet you're still here

Hi,
I completely understand your feelings of frustration with Mylot, because I had them, too.
In fact, I gave up on Mylot for a couple of months and returned only after their Daily Digests began.
If you don't have referrals that earn money here it is extremely difficult to earn money, unless you spend hours per day here.
I have changed my expectations of this site.
I spend a limited amount of time here each day and only join in discussions that interest me.
I only start discussions that interest me, also.
Good luck to you!
By the way, I haven't reached $10 yet.

I made payout my first month (Feb) with only 12-13 days in the month to do it. And I did it without referrals.
Thousands of people make payout every month on their own, so I don't think that can be construed as 'difficult' at all.

No, I can always find discussions to respond to I also check the discussions my friends started fist then the discussions from my interents and go from there. I respond to between 30 and 50 a day most days and I have surpassed payout for the month now I am trying to get to 3000 posts before May 1st.

That's good luvstochat. I usually do the same, but I just can't seem to find anything to say despite all the discussion I see. Maybe I'm being to considerate about my response, I don't know.
Well, good luck on reaching 3000 posts, I'm sure you'll be able to make it

I think 3$ is good amount for 200 posts. You should post more discussions and responses if you wanted to reach at a payout.
I started at 8th april and i was not expecting a payout in April. But i worked hard and i reached at my first payout at 22th April.
This is all depends on your time and hard work.
Thanks

Well, I personally am having no problem making the $$ needed here each month so I can reach payout. I also know in order to reach payout here each month you need to be active in here, and for the best bet, you need to post at least to 30 discussions a day and start a New discussion or two to be guaranteed a shot even at reaching payout each month.
For me, I cannot be here ever day I would Love to be. I try to come in here when I have time though. So there are days I might still only make under .10 here, and then the days like today when they posted the earnings when I made $1. All I can say it is a trial and effort thing, and way more about learning New things than about money. All I can say is your earnings are going no where unless you do. You still have next month to make what is needed from here as well.
Wishing you the Best, and Welcome to myLot. This is one of the best places you can be.

I don't share your predicament because I have not put the kind of pressure which you have put on yourself. I just wing it and respond to discussions that I like and if there is nothing that I like to respond to,I just start a discussion on what I like to talk about. It is a program which is both easy and enjoyable and I am enjoying every bit of it.

Well for me it's not that hard to find something to reply to, just that the rates are so low and payout is so comparatively high! So far I have only gained 61 cents, I'll probably need about 2000 more posts to reach payout! I wonder how myLot calculates earnings. I know that post quality is also a factor not counting number of posts, but about how much money could an average 3 line quality post get? It's all a bit confusing as they do not give a set per post payout rate.

Not knowing how they determine our earnings can be a bit frustrating. In times like this, I can only do my best and speculate. Knowing the earnings system would be very helpful for me in determining how hard my effort should be. But now I just try to accept what I have, make the best out of it, have fun and not make money my main motivation in joining mylot.

Its not always easy to find the right topic for me to reply also. Luckily I also love reading books and watching movies plus TV series. If I don't find any life discusiion to reply, I will reply to the books and movies section.
And that mean as mylotters we had to come out with very intereting subject to discuss.
Usually, I always look at my friends discussion first. I pick a few good ones to answer.Reply to them help my earning and also bump their post.

Hey don't give up. I am new here and I only have $0.31 and my goal is $10.00
I defineatley know I'm not going to make it but ya know I am enjoying reading and responding to others as well as giveing my own discussions which hasn't been many. In the past 3 days since I've joined I've taken my time and not worried about hittin the mark I want to check out things a little bit more. There's always next month that I can really put my effort into it. But it only being 3 days til the end of the month no way. I came into the race way to late. But keep on trying I have faith in you and everyone else in here that they can reach there goal.keep up the good work.

I would suggest you to be less picky and to start discussions on the interests and to responds to your friends discussions. Also, I would suggest you to responds on the topics of your interests. I think you will gain more money in the future. I think you should put a target less target everyday and try to meet the target so that you will reach the payout every month and also earn more money.

Hi yona. I also challenged myself to reach this month's payout. But like you, I am also $7 short of my minimum. I'm not giving up though. I'll still keep on responding to discussions and focus on reaching the payout. We still have like 3 days to do that.
Anyway, about your question I also experience having a hard time trying to read and look for topics that I can respond to that's why there are days when I get to respond to less than 10 posts and that's really frustrating for me cos I am online for more than 5 hours and I wasn't able to respond much. Maybe we should try editing and putting more on our "interests" area, maybe that'll help, right? So, good luck to us! Cheers! :)

I kind of have the same problem.Sometimes I feel I 'm stcuk here.I can't find a topic to start a discussion.I've been silent for more than a week and I didn't start or respond to any discussins.Yesterday,I thought to myself, why was that?Maybe I was too distracted? Now I just respond to discussions.Just like you did, sometimes it's so hard for me to find a discussion that I'm interested to.Haha, maybe I am too picky?

I dont feel the same way you feel this time. I dont know in the near future. I am also trying to reach the minimum payout this month but I think I could not do it.
Anyway, I am at least enjoying responding to some discussions that interest me so I will just wait for the right time for me to get my first pay-out perhaps next month.
