If you buy honey, do you buy the squeeze-easy bottles, or the jars/tubs.
Personally, I prefer to buy a litre tub at a time, from my local honey-farmer because it's delicious and not nearly as expensive as even the 100g jars at the supermarket, which can be like $3 each.
One thing that annoys me, though, it when it won't stay on your spoon or knife long enough to go into your tea/toast=P

I would check with your doctor. Diabetes is fairly prevailant in our family, and my understanding is that honey is a nutritive sweetner, meaning it has nutritional value. The sweetners in it don't cause blood sugars to rise. Its not so much the total amount of sugar in foods but the total amount of carbs. Of course taken in large amounts, like any foods that contain a carbohydrates can raise levels.
So again, I'd visit this with your doctor, Honey is so yummy. They'll prolly suggest testing your blood sugar levels after consuming it, as each person is different.

Mine are squeeze-easy bottles. I don't have a problem getting it in the tea and mixed up though. The only thing I have issue with is maybe sometimes the honey doesn't come through right flavour wise. Or it could be more of my growing senility, I don't know. =P

Oh, of course it's because you're senile =P You coot =)
There's something I just don't like about the squeezy ones, I don't know what it is. Maybe because whenever I visit someone who has them, they're always so close to empty that you can't actually get any out =P

I usually would buy a jar. I seldom buy any honey but now I think of it, I usually end up buying a jar and then complain that it's not convenient for me enough to dig out the honey inside! *laughs*, I am just trouble!

Haha, I find that hard to believe, Queen!
I ran out of honey 2 days ago, even though I had a 1kg tub!
But my dad happened to drop around yesterday with some spare so I no longer have the problem of trying to scrape together a spoonful from the bottom of the tub =P

I'm a Honey Farmer! I've been a Beekeeper in Canada for 30 years and we sell honey in 375 gm. squeeze bottle for $2.50. the 1 litre plastic pail is $6.00 and when we cream the honey, (this keeps the honey on your spoon) we charge $7.00/litre. Creamed Honey is very popular because it stays at the consistency of butter, and when it's reasonably warm, will spread. I have around 400 Colonies of honey bees which are located around the countryside at 2 mile intervals, in bee yards of 30 colonies, Most beekeepers are proud of their product! If you want to be sure of the Quality of your Honey always buy directly from the beekeeper who produced it. The big Honey Packers with the Brand name on the container are more interested in the bottom line (money) than they are the quality of the product, and sometimes will do strange things to the product with this in mind.

I find it so ridiculously cool that you're a Honey Farmer, Barehugs! =D
Great prices, if I weren't in Australia, I'd buy your honey =)
I've had creamed honey before, and maple butter from when my cousin visited Canada 2 years ago: YUMMMMMMMMM!
The guidlines of our markets that I buy my honey from is that the seller/store-holder is the producer, so I'm definitely safe there =)
I couldn't care about brands and big business with my honey or anything else =D
Thanks for your response, Barehugzzzzzzzzzzzzz (that's me being a Bee... lame, I know =P)
Have a great day

It depends on the time of year. during off months I buy whatever is on sale - be it a jar or a squeeze bottle. I much prefer items to be packed in glass than plastic so the squeeze bottle is not my favorite. During the warmer months I go to farmers' market and buy from the bee growers that sell there.

I'd prefer to have most of my things in glass, too, but they're often so much more expensive, they are here at least.
Which is saying something with the already high prices of groceries.
No point complaining, though I guess, it's not like we'll stop buying food any time soon =P
I love going to our local grower's markets, we have some really great produce around, and there's always some new exciting vegetable each week that my mum and I experiment with =)

I like buying the clear teddy bears full of honey - the easy squeeze bottle... I haven't had any in a long time - first I was pregnant and now I'm still nursing. :)

I hardly ever buy honey about the only time I do buy honey is on Honey Sunday that honey is $5 a bottle but most of the profit goes to charity I think it goes to one of the churches but I am not really positiv on that. I don't eat honey very often. I do like to dip chicken nuggets in honey.

we buy honey in a jar,its also tasty and we used it only with tea if we have dry cough and not by eating it with toasted and so far it works very fast compare to antibacterial capsules.
